Griffin Burger

I never leave reviews normally, but I thought I'd leave one for this amazing,small and cozy place. I've had one of the vegetarian burgers, just to try it and it was the best vegetarian burger of my life. I can't imagine how the others are. Friendly staff and reasonable prices. Well done guys. If you opened one in italy I'm sure it would be packed every day.

Thought we would give Griffin Burger a go after seeing the good reviews. Staff were lovely and pleasant, didn't have to wait to long for our food. However, the burgers were not very nice for the price. My partner and myself ordered the super cheese and chicken burger, i only had 2 mouthfuls of mine and throw it out. It lacked flavour, bun and cheese cold, and beef patty dry. The chicken burger was not much better. The chips however were nice and you could choose your own flavoured salt. Unfortunately i would not go back. I would recommend Grilled, they are always flavoursome and good value for money.

Pretty tasty burgers, good prices and options for sliders. Don't have milkshakes, burger meal isn't complete without a milkshake/thickshake. They do have options for thick beer batter or shoe string chips/fries. Heapssss of salt flavors

Veggo burgers are ace! Often veggo burgers are an after thought at burger joints but here, there is four (maybe five?) different veggo (two vegan) to choose from. Chips are cooked to order and the salt range is immense. Sauce range is fairly decent too. My go to place to eat when I visit Ballarat.

I seriously don't get the hype. Maybe people in Ballarat have never tasted good burgers before? To me anyway a good burger should have the following: a nice toasted slightly sweet bun (brioche, milk or potato buns are best), a meat patty that is moist (slighlty pink in the middle not dry and overcooked), cheese that is MELTED (always melt cheese! Cold cheese makes the burger cold), fresh lettuce (NOT SPINACH). And please don't put a schnitzel in a burger and call it southern fried chicken! If simple Aussie burgers are your thing then go to a fish and chip shop for a cheaper and better burger. If American style burgers are your thing, don't bother!
