Story

Gouldson Legal has been on a journey, like all of our clients.

Faran Gouldson in partnership with Kerry Shine commenced practice as Shine Gouldson Lawyers in February 1999 at 109 Browns Plains Road, Browns Plains. Kerry started the firm Shine Lawyers in 1974. Faran commenced work as an articled Clerk with Kerry at Shine Murdoch Lawyers (as Shine was then known) in 1991.

In 2004 Faran bought Kerry out of the partnership. Kerry was already a parliamentarian, and shortly thereafter the Attorney General for Queensland. At this point Shine Gouldson rebranded to become Gouldson Legal and commenced operations in the CBD of Brisbane.

Faran has worked for his entire career in legal litigation, and for that entire period on a No Win No Fee basis.

In December 2013 the firm embarked upon the next stage of its journey. We are proud of the work we do, proud of the service we provide to people in Queensland and extremely proud of what we offer in contrast to the big firms, Shine, Trilby Misso, Maurice Blackburn, and Slater Gordon.
