Slater and Gordon Lawyers

Christmas morning I woke to find my mum had committed suicide after losing her entire life savings and superannuation due to the corrupt share take over of Slater and Gordon. Christmas eve she caught the bus to where the Slater and Gordon christmas party was being held to watch countless staff members guzzle wine and stuff themselves with food in their $2000 shuts and dresses. Praying all Sand G staff cross Flinders Street a lot more.

Professional & reliable. Just plain fabulous. I have used their conveyancing before & if I ever need to....will do so again! I recommend them to friends, family...anyone that asks really. And....they don't knock your socks off with the cost.....just the service. Thanks Girls :)

Had a phenomenal experience with Slater's compensation team after I experienced a traffic accident on the road. They were very clear in explaining the potential amount of compensation to be paid based on the scope of the accident together with the strategies my lawyer would put in place to increase our chances of being successful. Very happy. Wouldn't of put my money in any other law firms hands.

After seeing some terrible reviews, I feel inclined to write my positive review. I used Conveyancing Works five years ago when I bought my first townhouse and I had no issues at all. I have just purchased my second home with my partner and it settled late last week. Because I used CW last time, my first port of call was to use them again, but then I was hesitant after reading the reviews, I was concerned that it had gone downhill over the last few years. However, I have experienced no problems once again, it was a easy, simple (and at a great cost) service. I'm not sure why they have such bad reviews. If you have a straight forward purchase or sale, don't hesitate to use them, you can not argue with the price they charge. E-mail contact was excellent and all my phone calls were always returned (if I didn't get through to them straight away) and on the day of settlement I received at least three phone calls to keep me updated. I think people are all to ready to write negative reviews, but leave out the positive. I would happily use Conveyancing Works in the future.

Today I contacted Slater and Gordon as I needed a solicitor to witness a document I needed to sign regarding a house sale in New Zealand. I initially spoke to the person who answered the phone, who then put me through to the conveyancing team reception, who I told my story to as well. She then told me it wasn't something they did so put me onto the new client services. This lady was quite polite, especially since I had told her that she was the third person I had told my story to. She then put me direct through to the Brisbane CBD office. The person at the Brisbane CBD office (some scatty sounding girl) wasn't interested in what I was trying to say and was insistent on putting me through to the new client team (again) so they could make an appointment. My response, when she finally let me talk, was that all I needed was to walk into a solicitor's office, and get a solicitor to witness me signing this document, and surely she could tell me if this was possible, and as I didn't want to talk to a fifth person I told her I'd take my business elsewhere. I can't believe how much effort it was trying to deal with this firm. Surely their phone/reception people would know if someone can walk in and get a solicitor to witness a form being signed. I definitely would not recommend dealing with this bunch of loonies!
