Why do they make you trek up a whole bunch of stairs and then immediately downstairs? There is a lift you can take though, although it's a bit slow.

Great train station, as far as stations go. You can exit the station on both sides (East and West) which isn't immediately apparent. Best thing about the station is the coffee stands on all platforms on weekday morning to get your morning fix.

Ridiculous number of people smoking at this train station. I could not believe how freely people smoked on this crowded station.

Good clean station and the cafe staff in the 2nd platform are great. Too often there are smokers on the platform and they dont even bother to move to the far down wind end. Also .. what's the point of having no smoking on the platforms if your then forced to walk through a barrage of stinking rancid second hand smoke from the sad nicotine addled ferral bogans who hang around the entrance on the hospital side. Does the no smoking ban not exetend to these area's.
