Such a shame so many closed stores! The convenient parking, coffee shops on the area, and public toilets available will hopefully be a drawcard to refill them soon. Needs more retailers! Especially to support the ones still there!
Disappointed to see the empty clothes shops. It's a concern there is lack of Business interest for these shops. Clothes, gifts, shoes shop, I'm sure would attract customers. Personally I'm thinking of now frequenting Northgate Shopping Center.
Anchor tenant is Woolworths but there are many other smaller shops here like a pharmacy, bakery, butchery, clothing store, nail shop n gift shop. Central Cafe serves good hot chocolate, different types of coffee, sandwiches, fried fish, etc. Good to sit n chill for a while.
A larger Centre than Glenorchy’s other small Centre easy to get confused if you don’t know and use Google Maps Northgate has a Big W and little else Glenorchy CENTRAL is a few minutes away by car and offers banks, and the usual shops. If you want a KMart, you must travel to the next town, NEW TOWN where there is a small, but popular KMart, Cokes, a small Cafe, Chemist, Newsagents, but not a ‘Mall’
There is plenty of parking nearby. We have done a big shop and found only small cashier counters.
