This place is a WHOLE vibe! I've been wanting to come here for YEARS! Finally able to and I can tell you, I am not disappointed! The flavour explosion in your mouth is phenomenonal, the portion sizes are massive and the presentation of the food is awesome! Thank you so much!
A go-to place for us where we know the food will be good. The curries and pho are fabulous but on this day was really hot so we felt like something light. I ordered the honey chicken. It said it was coated in sesame seeds and wasabi. I actually couldn't taste the wasabi, but the chicken was beautifully tender and the sauce flavorsome.nThe edamame is the best I've ever tasted... drenched in browned butter and perfectly seasoned. I order it on every visit and have never been disappointed.
What a place! They don't take reservations, so you need to turn up and wait.nWe arrived quite early for dinner and luckily our wait was not that long. The place was jumping amd what crazy fusion dishes!nThe 10hr braised lamb randang was extremely tender but a bit too sweet for me, the coconut rice was perfectly cooked and fragrant. Kingfish Sashimi was super fresh, Crisp Pork and Prawn was a winning combo.nLoved the Japanese beer on tap which went very well with the dishes.nGreat experience!
“Get the kingfish sashimi. Best thing on the menu at Giddy Geisha,” my brother declared, as if delivering the Ten Commandments. Well, now I had no choice.nnThe sashimi arrived - delicate slices of kingfish dressed with lemongrass, nước chấm, pork floss, Thai basil, and tapioca chips. Fragrant, fresh, a masterclass in texture and flavour. At $21, a steal for something this good, but not exactly filling. So, we pressed on: yellow curry with fried pumpkin wontons, gailan, coconut, and jasmine rice. Rich, layered, the kind of thing that makes you resent every bland takeaway curry you’ve ever suffered through. Crisp, golden roti to scoop up every last drop. And spring rolls - some of the best I’ve had, full stop.nnMy three-year-old is in the trenches of a picky eating phase, where even the suggestion of a new flavour is met with suspicion. Thankfully, the staff were happy to put together a simple side of noodles, and for her serving of edamame they put the GG spice wisely on the side.nnFor food this good, I expected a bit of ceremony, maybe a waiter describing the dish like a fine wine. But Giddy Geisha keeps it casual - no reservations, order at the counter, grab a seat, no fuss. If you're after white tablecloths and murmured conversation, look elsewhere. If you want a damn good meal, I’ll see you there.
this place did not live up to the hype. the katsu sando was delicious. the chicken was super juicy and curry sauce good. but the portion was just too small for the price. for $18 i was expecting normal sized bread.nthe pho was just average. you’re definitely better off going to a vietnamese restaurant that gives you a big hearty bowl of pho
