Genkotsu in Toowong never disappoints! 5/5 for everything — from the delicious food to the warm and inviting vibe. The atmosphere is so good, with cute seating that makes it a great spot to enjoy your meal. The gyozas were the highlight, perfectly cooked and full of flavour. Definitely a must-visit for ramen and Japanese food lovers!
Had the spicy sesame ramen here and it was absolutely divine! The broth was rich, flavorful, and had just the right amount of spice. It felt so authentic, like something you’d get in Japan. The noodles were perfectly cooked and the toppings tied it all together. The staff were friendly, the vibe was cozy, and it’s hands down one of the best ramen spots in Brisbane. Can’t wait to come back for more!
One of my friends recommended this place. I’m Japanese and there are many terrible ramen restaurants in Brisbane. However, this ramen was sooooo good. It was just like in Japan.nnI ordered the Tantanmen, the Soup and noodles were really good Shio ramen was also good Karaage and gyoza were very tasty nnThe staffs were very kind and friendly, and also the extra noodles are free One of my friends ate 5 extra noodles nnIt’s near a bus stop, was nearby K-mart in Toowong. I really want to go there again
I’ve been here 4 times, tried the black garlic, karamen, and spicy tan-tan. All great! I’ll go back to try the other flavours for sure.nnI suggest going on a weekday afternoon to avoid the queue. It’s always a long queue because you have to make your order first outside. Everyone waits outside, and the staff would come out to call the queue numbers of those who want to dine in and invite them in to a table.
Ah authentic ramen. I tried black garlic sauce ramen. It was unique and delicious. The service was good but 4 stars because there was no real service to talk about. Very systematic and minimal interaction with customers. It could be a good thing for some people.
