Decent, affordable focused hotel. We had room 303 for three nights. The room was was large, with a good sized balcony, and a slightly smaller but adequate bathroom. Standard amenities (although, bring your own caffeine-free tea if you want it, as they supply only English breakfast and green). Room was serviced daily, with consumed amenities replaced. The bed was comfortable. The air conditioning is digitally controlled within the room, and worked well, although it was unusually loud (my partner was able to sleep with it on low, but I needed to use ear plugs, which as an experienced traveller, I always bring). The black-out curtains have the typical gap at the top between the certain track and wall, rendering them basically useless. Bring a sleep mast if you want to sleep past dawn (which was about 4am when we visited!). The iron was in good usable condition, with no burns. Cleanliness was a B+. We've seen far, far worse in hotels that claim a much higher standard. If you're put off by the odd stain here and there, less than stellar maintenance, streaky surfaces etc, I'd recommend adjusting your standards for the price point. There's an attached restaurant, and room service is an option, but it operates more typical restaurant hours (6:30am-9pm, except weekends when the restaurant opens at a later 8am, and is mysteriously closed after breakfast). Note that although the services guide says they can deliver you an "early bird breakfast" before 8am on a weekend, they don't actually offer this service (any more?). Breakfast at the hotel is la carte only. We greatly appreciated the generous fruit plate as a delicious and filling lower-energy alternative. They may bit a little understaffed though, so if there's a big group already seated but not eating, I'd suggest going to a nearby cafe instead unless you want a 30+ minute wait. Alternatively, ordering room service delivery the night before might help. The general location is great. It's 5 minutes walk from the train station, and a few minutes more to major bus routes. From there, it's 10 minutes to most places of interest. The nearby mall (which somewhat pretentiously calls itself Toowong Village) has clothing stores, cafes, restaurants, a bottle shop, green grocer, and a full sized supermarket). There are also good ethnic restaurants in the surrounding area, and a couple of cafes (Coffee Cherry Cafe was our favourite). The only major drawback is that the hotel is positioned on a very busy intersection, which is well used by heavy vehicles for whatever reason. This is hardly something they can do anything about, but it makes the deck, and outside area of the restaurant a lot less pleasant.

great place, helpful staff. I went there for a job interview and the staff directed me to exactly where I needed to go, they have food options and toowong train station is just nearby as well as toowong shopping villiage, if you do stay here you won't regret it!
