Gemelli Italian is a contemporary Italian Restaurant located in Broadbeach on the Gold Coast, combining traditional methods with modern flair to its menu.

Story

Gemelli simply translates from Italian to Twins, which is exactly what we are. Coming from a family of Italian heritage we were brought up to appreciate good food and more importantly, how to cook it! Whether it be the annual sauce and salami making with Nonno, or simply sharing a glass of vino with family and friends, we have always had a passion for Italian food and culture.

Our contemporary setting coupled with a vibrant atmosphere gives you the unique experience of our modern Italian establishment. A combination of traditional methods and modern flair, has allowed us to design a menu influenced by the many diverse regions of Italy, to deliver the best of Italian culture to Broadbeach.

Auguste was super amazing, so attentive to our whole evening making sure everything was correct. I also picked her recommendation for a cocktail and it was so amazing, she was correct in saying it didn’t even taste like alcohol!! It was so sweet and right up my alley, it was the Italian kiss. The pizza was also crazy good! Never thought fig would be good on pizza but here I am, I got the princepessa pizza and me and my Mum were in looooveee We also got dessert, the mains were the perfect portion to leave room for dessert! The tiramisu was to dieeee for. The vibes of the restaurant are also very beautiful, warm and cozy. Prices are also quite reasonable for an Italian restaurant at Broadbeach! Pizzas were within the ~$30 range and it was perfect! Thanks team for this amazing night, will be back again some day and shout out to Auguste once again!!!
Gemelli is a lovely restaurant. We went for my partner's birthday and had a great experience.nThe staff were very friendly, the food was sensational and full of fresh flavours.nnWe had the arancini, the caprese salad and two pastas - Spaghetti Alla Carbonara and Spaghetti Pescatora.nThe arancini were larger than expected, and were incredibly scrumptious. The sauce was beautiful with the dish. Highly recommend.nThe Caprese salad was excellent too, with a variety of tomatos and mozzarella providing a refreshing taste to compliment the pastas.nnFinally the showstopping handmade pastas were amazing.nCarbonara made authentically with guanciale and egg yolk without cream is always special - but Gemelli nailed it and provided the best carbonara I have eaten in years.nnMy partner's Pescatora was absolutely loaded with crab and prawn which is such a rarity these days!, and tasted delicious too.nnTo top it off, they surprised my partner for her birthday with a complimentary dessert - with a sparkler and all.nA very nice touch and fitting evening to a wonderful night at Gemelli.
I was recommended to book at Gemelli and I was very happy that I did.nWe arrived early to our dinner booking are the staff we able to sit us in.nThe atmosphere was just buzzing. The staff were very accommodating and quick with service food and drinks. The kids absolutely loved their pasta dishes and the gluten free pizza base was amazing light and puffy very delicious. You can taste the difference with home made pasta and pizza bases.nHighly recommend
I had an incredible dining experience at Gemelli Italian restaurant despite not having a reservation. They went above and beyond to accommodate me, making me feel genuinely welcome. The food was absolutely delicious,rich flavors and perfectly prepared. Very large, tasty portions. The service was truly exceptional; the staff were friendly, attentive, and made me feel valued. The cocktails were fantastic, innovative and beautifully crafted.nI highly, highly recommend this place as one of the top spots on the Gold Coast.nCan't wait to return!
Gamelli Italian on the Gold Coast had a few highlights but also some misses. The standout was definitely the burrata entrée — creamy, fresh, and delicious — paired with their house focaccia. However, it definitely could’ve come with more focaccia as we had to order extra to enjoy it properly. Unfortunately, the carbonara and diavola pizza were a bit underwhelming and lacked the depth of flavour we were hoping for. Service was okay but could have been a bit more attentive. Overall, a decent experience with potential, but a few tweaks could really elevate it.
