We were overwhelmed by the excellent customer service at Gem car rental. Nothing was too much trouble for them and you could tell how much they valued the Client rather than just a quick sale. They were very accommodating, genuine, sincere and considerate at all times, a real pleasure to deal with. We booked a bespoke type car rental with them and they went out of their way to fit in with our timing without charging any more money. Very professional and excellent value for money compared to their other competitors. Cannot recommend them highly enough. Many thanks Charles & Angela!

Without a doubt the most helpful & friendliest company to deal with. We had our hire car cancel on us last minute on the 28th December. We thought our 5-day holiday in paradise was going to be dreadful without the use of a car. Charles came to our rescue providing door-to-door service and drop-off at the airport on New Years' day! We had an amazing holiday thanks to Charles and will just call Charles again next time we are in town. The car was immaculate, the price was cheaper than anywhere else - HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! Very good and reliable car. The company was flexible and easy to work with. No issues returning the vehicle and they took me to the airport free of charge at the end of the car rental. Friendly team in person. First impressions are obviously important for all companies, so my only recommendation for GEM is to improve their communication style via e-mail as they always come across a bit cold until you speak to them in person or over the phone. If I need to rent a car when I am next in FNQ, I will be using this company again.

Great cars and a fantastic service dropping the car off at our accomodation. The car we hired was virtually brand new and was perfect for us and a lot cheaper than everyone else. We would highly recommend this company to everyone and I wouldn’t hire from anyone else in the future when we return to North Queensland.

Very friendly, efficient service and reasonable pricing. Airport/hotel pickup and drop-off was not only convenient, but meant we got to learn a little bit about the area from a local. Also really appreciated getting the type of car we booked I don't like when rental companies give me a bigger car than I asked for and accommodating an extra day's booking on short notice when our flight home was delayed. Would absolutely use Gem again if I return to the Cairns region!

Excellent service! Great car! Affordable rates!  Charles is a easy going mate, just tell him your requirement and he'll customise the rental package according to that. We faced no issues while renting his car for 5 days in Cairns. 100% recommended.

Very happy with Charles and GEM Rent-A-Car!  Charles was kind enough to meet us at our Hotel with the car which meant we could begin our Holiday quickly. Paperwork was easy, Charles was very hospitable and it was clear he'd been doing this for a while. We were well informed and there were no surprise fees at all! The car itself was fantastic and in perfect condition. I organised it all from Melbourne through his website; very efficient and convenient.  Thanks Charles, and if we're ever in the area we'll be coming back!

Couldn't fault Gem Rent A Car. Hassle free, friendly and easy to book. Fantastic service picking us up from the airport waiting on our arrival and then driving us back to the airport upon us returning the car to their office. Professional, friendly, clean modern car and couldn't recommend highly enough.

We struggled to get a car rental and had a few rude comments directed our way from other places. I rang Charles at GEM Rent-A-Car and he said he would try and ring me back by Friday. He did get us a car, notified me on Thursday, delivered it to us at our accommodation at Trinity Beach and was cheaper than the other rental places. We were  dropped to the airport when the rental was finished. All this great service was just terrific.  Then I accidentally left my phone in the car and Charles drove back to the airport to return my phone. Great service above and beyond.  Would and will recommend this car rental to all friends and family heading to Cairns and will definitely book it myself, won't even waste my time with any others.
