I dont believe all the one star reviews in the last week are from customers who have personally used gearmatics it seems one person has had a bad experience and has used bully tactics to form a pack together and slam a hard working family business they have never used. Just my opinion since I have been a customer of this shop and i got nothing but honesty upfront about my transmission communicated throughout the rebuild and gave me options every step of the way as it was a high performance custom vehicle and it has not missed a beat since. Tom knows his stuff and i recommend him to anyone who mentions their gearbox or transmission.

I have used Gear-matics for the past fourteen years, Tom has always been helpful, and does a great job, over the years and about thirty transmissions, I have never had a problem with any of his work. Highly recommended. From a Motor Mechanic.

My dad is a 75 year old man that took his car to a man here named Tom, not only did Tom charge him $750 for fixing the car but didn’t fix it at all. He refused to return the money to him and then when Tom saw my dad on the street asked how the car was going and laughed at my dad knowing well it wasn’t working. I think it’s disgusting that he took advantage of a 75 year old man with not much money to his name. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone and Tom should be ashamed of himself. You should know better.

Fantastic service from Tom. Pricing is very competitive you're getting the job done right and You will not be ripped off! 
It's always nice to come to a place where they care about the job they do! If you need your gearbox serviced, you won't find the better place than the Gear-matics.

Before I get my gearbox repaired by  Tom, I went to another shop in Keysborough, and they told me that my gearbox must be rebuilt, and it will cost $2600 plus. 
The real problem was that the transmission was leaking fluid and wasn't shifting gears and did not require any rebuild. Tom was able to fix it at a fraction of the price another shop quoted me. Now my Merc is smooth as new, can hardly feel the gears change and no more oil leaks. I strongly recommend these guys they have saved me thousands. 
I'm Extremely Happy with Gear Matics and happy to recommend them to all

WorldClass Industries (Vic) Pty Ltd have been using Gear Matics services for over ten years  for all our Automotive general servicing and Automatic gearbox services including rebuilds.  In all this time we have found their services to be exemplary, and certainly Tom always goes that extra mile,
