The sales lady was brilliant! She even continued processing my purchases even though the store had shut at 5pm. I arrived at 4.50 and she kept working, even though she had technically finished. My order was for two framed pictures and a hall table which would be delivered in 2 weeks. She phoned me early saying that it had arrived and was ready for pick up. The whole process was very efficient, professional and friendly. I would recommend her to anyone and would certainly purchase there again. I’m so sorry I can’t remember her name, she was young, blonde and very friendly!
AVOID THIS COMPANY! I bought a coffee table from the Eden range. Within about three months it is covered in white stains. I own a lot of timber furniture and this is the only item I've had this problem with. I always take measures to maintain timber coasters for hot/cold drinks, wiping spills, a coffee table shouldn't be this prone to water stains. I cannot even sit a glass of tap water for an hour or so on this table without a stain showing. After consulting carpenters and furniture manufacturers in the area, this table has been finished with a cheap varnish and that is not fit for purpose, likely to cut costs. After explaining this to Focus on Furniture, they blatantly refuse this is a fault of the table and that it's my fault for' not caring for it properly'. I refuse to believe this since I haven't had issues with any other timber furniture I own including a $50 IKEA table which I place hot mugs directly onto... At this stage, I will be taking it to a craftsman to sand and revarnish it for me at my own cost but I hope others can avoid this mistake.
In November 2022, we bought an Eden dining table from Focus on Furniture Geelong. After about a week of use we noticed round water glass stains on the table which we presumed was condensation from the glasses. We emailed Focus on Furniture on three occasions and they will not take responsibility saying we should have used place mats and coasters but there was no mention about place mats and coasters when we purchased the table. They have made no attempt to solve our problem not even a curtesy call. We spent $1.188 on a table and $1.582 on eight chairs as well as other items and we have only received unsatisfactory after sales service. I give Focus on Furniture the poorest rating as possible.
Ordered 2 Hamilton armchairs. Easy purchase, lady on the desk made it easy. . Day before delivery we got a txt to say they’d arrive between 7am and 9 am. Given that it was the Saturday of the long weekend I really didnt think this would happen. 7.01am DING DONG goes the doorbell! Talk about on time delivery. The young bloke also had the foresight to place them along the wall under the eaves so they didn’t get wet. Well done FOF.
Such fast service, delivery and they put together our table on the spot. One less thing to worry about when moving houses! Thanks again geelong
I spent 8k with focus on furniture 1.5 months ago. When I rang them on boxing day to ask if I could receive their boxing day sale prices and save $800 I was told NO. I then said, I'll cancel my order to re order it so I could receive the sale prices, I was rudely informed that they would keep 20% of the money I have already paid if I cancelled, even though all I wanted to do was cancel to just re order straight away so I could receive the days sale promotion. I spoke to a woman name Emma or Emily from the Geelong/corio store who was the rudest and most unhelpful customer service person I have ever come across. I am so disappointed and disgusted that this is how they treat a customer who has spent a large amount of money in their store. I will never purchase from focus on furniture again and I won't be recommending them to any of my friends or family. STAY AWAY IF YOU WANT COMPASSIONATE UNDERSTANDING SERVICE.

I recently ordered the Carlton model from the Geelong store. Janine was amazing she was so helpful, she helped me get the last one from the shipment. The promised delivery date was before Christmas, but it was delivered two weeks in advance. The delivery guys very professional and set up the lounge quickly and did not make a mess while unpacking. Overall great experience with focus on furniture, their prices are competitive and have a great range of products.
This place is absolutely shocking, bunch of time wasters, what an embarrassing company! All you’ll achieve from ordering from this company is finding out you’re order will never be delivered and no one will help you. Putrid customer service and overall company.
Best value for money furniture store in Geelong. Staff are always helpful and friendly. Range of items available is very good. Have purchased from here 2 times now and will definitely purchase from them again!
