I stayed at Flashpackers Hervey Bay for almost two months and had such a wonderful experience. The hostel is clean, comfortable and in a great location, only about a 7-minute walk from the beach. The free breakfast, swimming pool and walk-in fridge were especially convenient for a longer stay. The reception staff were always friendly and helpful, and there were lots of fun activities like Wine & Cheese Night. I met so many amazing people and made some really special memories here. It was definitely one of the most memorable parts of my time in Australia, and I’m so glad I chose to stay here!
The room was okay, very basic but ok. The amenities were very good and made up for the poor room.nnCons:nThe room was dripping wet… like there was water dripping down the walls and making the furniture wet. The pillows were damp when we checked in.nnThe AC has time limits set by them which you can’t change which we thought was odd and probably added to the dampness of the room. AC can be on 5pm-6AMnnMould on the shower curtainnnYou take your bedding off, which is absolutely fine by me, but this highlighted the stains all across the bedding and pillows.nnNo extra bathroom minis; shower gel, shampoo that you typically get.nnPros:nHowever, the room is close to the beach which we saw dolphins.nnIt has a large kitchen with free breakfast and a pool, table tennis, cinema room. This is excellentnnClose to Bus service and tourists attractions such as k’gari bus is cash onlynnOption to pay for drop off at greyhound bus stops which is very helpful.nnThe fan in our room was clean.
Marion and Roksana are both very good receptionist. I stayed for 2 nights. They made ensure the entire hostel was kept clean at all times.nnThe hostel has a great vibrant environment while ensuring the nights are quite for everyone to sleep.nI was very happy with my stay and highly recommend this place.nnThe only feedback I would give is the mattress was too soft and should consider replacing with something finger. Otherwise everything including price was great
I had a very comfortable stay here. The staff is very friendly and caring thanks to Marion for being so attentive to every little detail, the kitchen and the rooms were clean every day, the atmosphere is relaxing, and the shuttle very helpful. But most important : the WAFFLES in the morning were amazing! Thanks to the whole team!nnone suggestion: a cooler A/C in the rooms during this hot summer could make the stay better but the fan was helpful
Great stay at Hervey Bay Flashpackers. I had a private room which was very clean, comfortable, and excellent value for money. The price-to-quality ratio is fantastic.nnSpecial thanks to Roksana - I accidentally forgot something after checking out and she was incredibly helpful and kind, going out of her way to mail it back to me. Really appreciated the outstanding service.nnWould definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to others visiting Hervey Bay.
