Best hostel I ever stayed at! Woolshed provides the perfect place to relax and unwind. The whole hostel is filled with trees, gardens, nature, and hammocks and the 4-bed dorm was super nice, had a "cabin in the woods" feel to it.  Super clean facilities. Free bike hire to get to the main street or supermarket within 5 - 10 minutes. Only minor issue is the laundry drier, it's $3 for 20 minutes and doesn't dry very well. Just use the clothes line instead! Owners are super nice and you can really feel that they put their hearts into this place. It is not a business for them but a passion. Reception staff are super nice too! They organized a free shuttle to pick me up from the Greyhound bus stop and also to take me back there when it was time to go and also provided lots of tips and recommendations on what to do and where to go in Hervey Bay. I would definitely stay here again.

I would not recommend this hostel. The wifi did not work during our two stays before and after our tour. The manager at reception tour us our tour definitely wouldn't let us take our bags so we needed to pay to leave them he was completely wrong and when I told him this he just said you still need to pay. 
It is a bit dirty also.  
The hostel also lend out bikes for free but they are poorly maintained (brakes don't work)

The hostel grounds look amazing and there are normal beds(not bunk beds). According to hostel Friday is free BBQ and Tuesday is movie night. 
Take note of poor front desk opening times, it can be a bit annoying as staff are there they just wont be at the desk.
The common area gets very hot and stays that way even after air outside cools down. Had issues with fluctuating water temperature in the shower.
If you just need a to clean up and rest after Fraser's island the hostel offers 'use of facilities' for 5$.

Relax in a hammock. Cook on the woolshed kitchen. Go for a ride with a free bike rental. The staff is kind a helpful. Would recommend and stay here again.
