I have just been discharged from Epworth after a full left knee replacement. I had the surgery on my day of admission, followed by three nights in post operative and then seven nights in the Bethesda Rehabilitation Centre.nWithout exception, every part of my journey through this hospital was filled with skill, care and compassion. The staff in all of the wards, from senior nurses to orderlies, were pleasant and attentive. The physiotherapy was outstanding and I’m looking forward to my outpatient appointments.nThe hospital is very well maintained and even the older wards were clean, efficient and functional. The food was outstanding and I have nothing but admiration for the catering team who were able to turn out such consistently great meals, from such an extensive menu.nMy admission and discharge process was simple and effective and I really appreciated being able to do so much of it online.nThank you Epworth. I left today feeling strong and with a great respect for your work.
Thank you to Paolo and the incredible team of nurses, doctors and allied health staff on 4C. Celebrating Dad’s 1 year anniversary since his brain surgery complications that turned a 3 day admission into a 3 month admission. These beautiful people saved his life and gave my sister and I a safe-haven and second family during the most painful experience of our lives. A very emotional reunion. True superheroes. Look forward to donating to give back.
Outstanding care on Ward 4 East at Epworth EasternnnMy recent stay on Ward 4 East was exceptional, and I want to give special recognition to the incredible nursing team — Shirley, Debbie, Dean and Carmen. Every one of them showed professionalism and kindness, but Shirley was absolutely fantastic. Her attention to detail, calm confidence, and genuine care made an enormous difference to my stay. She is truly spot on in everything she does.nnDebbie, Dean & Carmen were also wonderful — supportive, reassuring, and consistently attentive. You can feel how much pride the whole team takes in their work.nnWhile I received excellent care on 4 East, I have to say that 4 North really feels like the ward to be on. The atmosphere, the staff energy, and the overall experience there stand out in the best way.
I can honestly say this is one of the best private hospitals in Victoria.nnFrom day one, I was impressed by the incredible range of clinical specialties available and, more importantly, by the warmth and kindness of the nursing staff. They made me feel truly cared for. The accommodation was comfortable, and the meals were surprisingly fantastic for a hospital!nnIf you’re staying longer than a week, the hospital even offers discounted weekly parking tickets for family members—a small gesture that makes a big difference.nnI want to give my deepest thanks to Dr Omar Al-Mukhtar and Dr Samer Noaman, the brilliant Interventional Cardiologists; Mr Marco Larobina, an outstanding Cardiovascular Surgeon, and his skilled team; and Dr Piers Canty, Respiratory & Sleep Disorder Physician. My gratitude also goes to the amazing nurses in the ICU and the Cardiology Ward, Lee Wange, Level 2.nnAnd finally, a special thank you to Abby and Liam, La Trobe University physiotherapy students, whose care and support meant so much during my recovery.nnThis hospital didn’t just treat me—it made me feel valued and supported every step of the way.
The care I received in Epworth hospital this week when I had a cardiac ablation was excellent through all stages of the process the nursing and theatre staff could not have been more helpful all the time. I have a significant disability which limits my walking and balance and the nursing staff in ICU particularly Aida and Steph and Anna on the days after my surgery paid excellent attention to my every need, and were exceptionally competent and caring. I recommend Epworth hospital very highly for all aspects of my experience from admission staff operating theatre staff those in recovery and most particularly in ICU Thank you Epworth The food was excellent too.
