Brought Mum in with a suspected stroke. Great treatment from all the team form triage to the orderlies. Nice rooms. A special thanks to MRI team who stay late and worked with a difficult patient to get the scan done and the wonderful cleaners from AMC who waited for a long time for the scan to be completed so they could clean their last room, the MRI room.

The admissions and ward staff were all fabulous and very caring people. Post discharge phone support was excellent and very greatly appreciated. Admission time advised was much too early - a very long wait - that was probably down to the surgeon. Overall I feel the Hospital staff well and truly made up for care that was somewhat lacking in the surgeon and the anaesthetist. Many thanks Epworth.

Stayed in the Cato wing for 2.5 days last week. I found the hospital staff and nurses were very efficient and friendly. What I enjoyed most about my visit was the poached eggs holendais sauce, sausages, mushrooms, bacon & grilled tomato for breakfast each day. I didn't really want to leave, to be honest.

I couldn't speak more highly of all the medical and other staff I encountered at Epworth during my recent 2 week stay in the Cato wing. I encountered many nurses over each shift during my stay and the nursing staff were consistently great, caring, patient and knowledgeable. The difference between being a patient and being a client.

Had sinus surgery on wed 7th feb and everything went well until we were in the overnight ward room 23 .(was booked for a overnight stay) Room was hot due to the poor airconditioning(this was comfirmed by staff) and i immediately broke out in a sweat. Staff tried blame the anasetic. .but i was feeling fine up until being placed in that room...asked for another room .but told none available this is all there is. .i informed them that for top hospital cover this room wasn't good enough .staff were not happy that i dared to complain about the conditions. .one of the staff even suggested we open a window. ..38degrees outside that day One of the staff was verbally aggressive towards my wife when she thought that my wife had made a complaint about her ...which she hadnt... We had to ask for a fan and i spent the next 4 and a half hours sitting on the edge of the bed in my shorts with the fan on me drinking as much ice water as i could to try and stay cool while waiting for the affects of the anasetic to ware off. I had to ask for food and was given sandwiches past there use buy date. After 4 and a half hours of hospital care that was well bellow what would deemed acceptable even in a public hostpital I decided that it was in my best interests to walk out ..which i did.
