I recently spent time at this hospital and had an incredibly positive experience. The nurses showed exceptional bedside manner, they were compassionate, attentive, and genuinely cared about my comfort and wellbeing throughout my stay. The staff were friendly, efficient, and always willing to help, which made a huge difference during a stressful time.nnThe facilities were clean, modern, and well maintained, creating a calm and comfortable environment. Overall, I felt very well looked after and truly appreciated the high standard of care provided. I am grateful to the entire team for making my experience as smooth and reassuring as possible.
I went in for a day procedure at The Avenue Hospital, and honestly, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the moment I walked in, the reception staff were welcoming, and the nurses were absolutely fantastic — caring, professional, and so reassuring. Everyone I met made me feel comfortable and well looked after. I’m really grateful to the whole team for making the day such a positive one.
This is the ‘new’ waiting room for day surgery at The Avenue Hospital. Not even a side table so my bag is on the floor as a trip hazard. Last time I was here they had recliner chairs and blankets. Its freezing fold. The lady next to me has been waiting over 3 hours. Appalling barely describes what this is and we’re all wondering what private health cover really pays for aside from the Ramsay Health execs and shareholders?
I attended The Avenue for Mohs Surgery with Dr Sheridan. An 'amazing' experience from start to finish. While I would obviously prefer not to have needed extensive surgery for cancer on my nose following a miss spent youth in the sun - I do feel blessed to have been referred to such an excellent team and to have received such good care. A constructive request would be for Mohs Surgery to be allocated a larger recovery area as patients are awake and 'waiting' for a few hours while the team do their magic in the laboratory. I hope you look after Dr Sheridan and your nurses Kim, Catherine and Jona as they are true gems.Thank you!
Wonderful nursing staff and fantastic surgeon Mr David Shepherd of Melbourne Orthopaedic Group.nBreakfast was very good, scrambled eggs, chipolata and bacon, toast, apple juice, the usual hot beverages.nReception staff were courteous and friendly.nParking is difficult, and it took us a a bit of time to work out how to use the ticket machine.nHowever if you manage to get a car park under cover, the ticket machine is tricky.nSteps to follow:n1. Select left green arrow for payment methodn2. Select right green arrow for the amount of time you want to stay.nEach time you press slowly the right green button it will give you an allocated time and price until the maximum time is reached for all day for $32n3. Once you have selected the amount of time you want to stay, press the green OK button.n4. Message will come come up with the amount you want to pay and then you can hold your credit card against the glass panel further below next to the coin slot which is on the right.n5. Ticket will be dispensed underneathn6. Ensure you display ticket on your dashboard.nAlternatively, you can also park behind the MOG building, straight across the road via the boom gate. Limited parking thoughnI have attached a photo of the ticket machine to familiarise yourself with in the 'photos' tab of google reviews
