Emerson's at Pokolbin

I’ve already been to Emerson’s twice this year and it’s only February, so that’s definitely very telling as to how good not only the food is, but the service. First of all, thank you to KELLY! Probably the most attentive server staff I have ever encountered. In the both times I’ve been this year she has really taken her time to thoughtfully make the experiences incredible. The food is perfection, some of the best seafood dishes I’ve had in the Hunter. Compliments to the chef because every dish I’ve tried has been delicious! If you’re visiting the Hunter Valley, or want to impress company then please make a stop at Emerson’s - you won’t ever be disappointed.

Had late lunch at Emerson’s. Food was a mixed fusion packed with flavour. The beef was cooked to perfection and juicy. The sambal chicken is mouthwatering. Pipis is fresh and the mussels divine. Chef came out to greet us as we were the last to leave. Lovely place, definitely recommended. Looking forward to our next meal there.

I recently dined at Emerson’s Restaurant and was blown away by the overall experience. The food was delicious - I especially enjoyed the spaghetti alle vongole and the XL Mooloolaba garlic king prawns. The flavours were well-balanced and the presentation was simple yet beautiful. The service was impeccable - our server was friendly, attentive, and made sure our dining experience was enjoyable from start to finish. The atmosphere was also lovely - the restaurant had a cozy and intimate vibe that made for a great date night spot in the Hunter Valley. Please make sure to end the night with their Vanilla bean and buttermilk panna cotta, this is Hunter Valley’s finest dessert. Prove me wrong! Overall, I would highly recommend Emerson’s for their world class food, amazing service, and pleasant atmosphere. Thank you and we hope to come back soon!

From a lifetime of dining at quality dining establishments I knew something was very wrong when we arrived at 7pm on a Saturday night to find only 2 couples already in attendance. The entire time we were there no one else came to dine. This should have been a massive red flag, but we decided to give it the benefit of the doubt. Surely any quality restaurant who holds a service fee of $100 for the booking just must be quality! Sadly, I have to say what a MASSIVE let down was Emerson’s. How they charge the prices they do for food not commensurate to quality, nor resembling anything on this Facebook page just makes them a poor impersonation of a dining establishment. Approximately 150gm of snapper fillet ‘dumped’ in 400g of sweet corn reminded me of the last time I had a hospital stay. The four prawns that were drowned in a chilli and garlic oil lacked any technique, presentation or even care. The ROAST CRISP GARLIC POTATOES could only be called potatoes. No semblance of garlic and were as soft as any steamed potatoes I have ever seen. Photo says it all. The only quality product was the Spice Roasted Cauliflower, albeit not exactly hot. As for the two staff on duty they showed no interest in the customers or doing their job, they spent most of the night leaning on the bar talking to each other, not once engaging any of the six patrons paying their wage. On a night with so little clientele that is when staff should be annoyingly attentive BECAUSE THEY HAVE TIME TO DO IT, unlike when it is busy. Other than taking the order there was nothing else resembling HOSPITALITY SERVICE. This is an open and honest recounting of our night and is in no way personal as we have never been there before or know personally of anyone owning or working there.

Amazing Food. Great service. One of the best places I've been to in the Hunter Valley. Combined with a Helicopter ride it was the perfect experience.

Wow what an amazing restaurant! The food and service was next level. Best Steak I have ever eaten!

Exceptional service and food!! I had my birthday lunch here and we had an amazing experience. We had a large group and the staff was very accommodating. We ordered most of the dishes on the menu and everything was delicious! Restaurant has a beautiful view and we were lucky to have visited on a sunny day. Definitely a must visit! To finish off, desserts were 10/10.

Culinary heaven! The service and the food was superb and worthy of a fine dining establishment, yet the ambience feels warm and casual. Highly recommend. This is a beautiful place to dine while enjoying the best of the Hunter Valley.
