Story

Bonjour,

Welcome to our home, this restaurant is built in the front garden of Brooklawn, a mansion built around 1881. It has elaborated Boom period facades influenced by the baroque architectural style. Brooklawn is said to have been used as both the French consulate and a brothel, but at different times.

Food was amazing in taste. However, my partner and I went in on a quiet night (only us and 1 other guy) but somehow waited over 45 minutes for our mains which were 2 steaks with minimum veg and a bowl of chips. They other guy dining came in after us, ordered after us, but got all of his food (entrees and main) and managed to finish eating it before we got our mains.

We had booked for Christmas Day night at 7pm. We confirmed twice and received a text message the day before to reconfirm, which we did. At 230pm on Xmas Day I missed a call on my mobile and when I heard the message later it was Embassy 97 saying ' sorry we can't open today because our oven is not working.' We were so disappointed.Where else could we book last minute on Xmas Day?? We were so looking forward to a great French Xmas Dinner 😞

Embassy had the nerve to send me an email cancelling the day after my booking... Yes I knew you closed shop, I came all the way in to find out you didn't have the professional courtesy to call me in time to cancel. Also received confirmation emails / text for my booking. Hopeless fools run this place, beware!

Read reviews, mislead 😱microwaved?? Never seen exploded mussels steamed. All meals inedible. Very disappointed. Nice female waitress on arrival only positive unfortunately.

Bad place and the food not very tasty , I not recommended and the staff very cold with customers..
