No acres unless you pay entrance to the garden. Quite a bummer when you expect something cost and took a walk there, but have not the intention to visit the garden. Should be labeled as “private” Cafe.

Cute little cafe hidden away in the botanical gardens in Mt Eden. Popular with tour groups. Nice to spend a nature filled day amongst the trees and flowers Admission prices are $10 adult, $6 senior citizens, $6 if you are on explorer bus, $6 groups 15 people or more and have pre booked, children under 12 are free.

It costs to enter Eden Gardens so you can't just "go to the cafe". Eden Gardens is such an oasis that we are members so can pop into the cafe when we like. The cafe hours are a bit restrictive for cooked items and it's not cheap but it's worth it given the very relaxed and laid back atmosphere. If you're local then it's worth buying a membership.
