Welcome to the Wintergarden Cafe, Auckland's iconic café, event and function venues set in the Auckland Domain, one of the city's oldest parks.

Set above the duck pond, and amongst the lush gardens of the Auckland Domain, the Wintergarden Cafe makes a perfect morning meeting place for coffee and breakfast, or to enjoy lunch and afternoon drinks.

Adjacent to the Wintergarden Cafe is the Kiosk at the Wintergarden which is currently under renovation, but will soon be open daily for fresh picnic supplies, gelato, or take-away fresh-roasted coffee.

Food was well made. However, portion size is smaller for the price that they charge. We ordered eggs Benedict, Crayfish pasta, cumin lamb cutlets, beer battered fish and chips, and mushroom pasta for 6 people and some ice cream. It was really good and loved it. Service could be better and faster. If I am in the area, I would visit again.
Wintergarden Café in Auckland offers great food, friendly service, and a stunning location by the duck pond in the Domain. Perfect for breakfast dates or afternoon coffee breaks, it’s a peaceful escape with a lovely atmosphere that keeps visitors coming back.
The Thai beef salad was delicious, with a lovely mix of textures and flavourful beef. However, the vanilla slice lacked a strong vanilla taste. Service was a bit slow, but the venue itself was lovely and ideally situated within the picturesque Auckland Domain.
We often go to the Auckland Domain for walks, and it is great to have the Wintergarden Cafe there. The staff is friendly and the food and service very good!
Coffee quality is okay, not the best; but you get an environment unlike others here surrounded in nature I'd you're into that sort of thing.nnBirds constantly flying onto neighboring tables and occasionally your own and also flying very closely to your head can get annoying though.
