Easy and effective place to get rid of junk. The lady at the till gate is very friendly and helpful. Hopefully they are recycling the plastics and cardboard!!
Useful place for disposing garden waste or general waste. Not free - priced by the type of waste and amount of waste. Certain types of waste are not allowed e.g. liquid paint, fridges.
If you click on the business website where it says "Hours & prices" it clearly states closed all public holidays. Google is a search engine.
The lady at the checkpoint was friendly and she explained things clearly. Great service.
Way overpriced. I only had a few items from moving to get rid of. Nothing heavy. Rocked up expecting the vehicle to be weighed before I got in and was told it's a set fee which I was unaware of. Almost $60 for some cardboard and pillows.
I have been here several times. The first time a few months ago there was a great guy on the bulldozer who corrected us when we were backing into the park for commercial trucks and gave us a wave when we left. there was a guy at the weighing bridge who gave a free load after we went back a few times in a day!.... On the downside there was this obese polynesian guy with the hose mucking around. Must be great getting paid for doing nothing! ha
Getting there early in Saturday morning is the way to go. Not sure why they weigh the trailer only and then you have to reverse to pay. It's an unnecessary step? Takanini definitely doesn't do it that way.
AWESOME FELLAS, weigh bridge operator very good at communicating. All the guys down at the pit very helpful especially towards the elderly, and it is also very clean for a transfer station, and prices are spot on I, would definitely come back.
Bunch of good guys no complaints guys at the weigh bridge awesome as, boys down by the pit very helpful clean and tidy, always helpful to older folk and watchful of the young ones that come on site, I watched one of them back in 5 trailers for other people while I was unloading, to the site supervisor very understanding and helpful prices are reasonable no problems cheers guys
Stopped in to drop off a few bits of a tree trunk but silly me I was driving a ute so the price was going to be $86.00, no exceptions. Hard pass, dropped it off elsewhere for $22.00.
