I was at this Centre yesterday and had the worst customer service I've ever experienced. The man receptionist was on the phone with a patient and was insulting him the entire time. He also stated out loud data like the patient's age and notes between him and the doctor, which should be kept private between the doctor and the patient. For at least 10 minutes, he was simply babbling and being really disrespectful to the patient. He was lecturing the patient as though he was far smarter than him. He even tried to talk about the patient wasting his time, which is hilarious because every time I went to this clinic, I had to wait at least 10 minutes. I was plainly uninformed of what the patient did, but the receptionist refused to listen to them. It doesn't matter what a consumer does; you always listen to and respect them, basic customer service skills. It was a really unpleasant experience for both myself and the other patients in the waiting room. However, I feel bad for the person on the other end of the phone and hope they report him. It's not the first time I've witnessed him being harsh and confrontational towards patients. He's not going to quit, and the clinic needs to get rid of him. I and the others who are waiting at the clinic will not be returning until he leaves.
There’s a lot of negative reviews about certain people here which is disappointing because it’s not how I see it when I’ve visited which is often The female receptionists are always friendly and welcoming. They always try to accommodate me and get me in sooner if it’s urgent. I see Dr Samuelraj and Dr Ruiz and they are nothing but amazing. They’re always bending over backwards to help me out with whatever I need. They are so easy to talk to and are very empathetic. I have no plans on going anywhere else as I have found the perfect doctors.
I've been coming here for over 20 years. They are now charging full price for people on disability pensions. I drove 40 minutes just to find out that I can no longer afford to have consults and my skin cancer care here and now have to let my squamous cell carcinomas grow. Loyalty gets you nowhere these days and we are turning into the American, greed based profit system. Thanks for nothing.
SO rude, I will never go back unless absolutely no other options. Had to cancel an appt 1 hour before as my daughter was unwell and they didn't even thank me for letting them know, just rudely said I'd have to pay for the appt! I said well can I bring my sick child with me? To which they also said no. Shocking!
Most frustrating and useless experience of my life. Tried to get a mental health plan for my son to be told that I needed to book a double appointment which is the first time a Dr has said that out of all the people I know who have sought one for their children from other competent doctors, after waiting an hour past our appointment time, to be told 'do your homework' on who I wanted a referral to, also something other doctors have helped patients with, and being told to 'Google it'. He wouldn't listen to the questions I was actually asking regarding finding someone suitable and held his hand up to my face to silence me which is so unbelievably rude. I've been going here for 20 years, heaven knows why, and I have no intention of going back. That was the last straw in a series of bad experiences.
It's all too easy to get into a huff about a one off experience and then vent online. How often do we do the opposite and jump online to to offer praise? I've been a patient here at Duncraig Medical Centre for decades; never once have they not bent over backwards to fit me or my family in at short notice. This is a very caring and professional business. Thank you for being there for us during these difficult times.
Walked in quite shaken after a car accident. The ladies at reception were very caring and fitted me in. Was seen by Dr Ruiz straight away.
I never post Google reviews ever but worst appointment of my life. To be instantly judged without listening to my full situation, humiliated and insinuated that I’m lying about my condition and current medication, to tell me that I’m imagining side effects that “don’t exist”, when the side effects of my meds are literally listed as being there, and when I offer to call home and have them send through a photo of my scripts I was made to feel so embarrassed that I even asked and came in in the first place. I felt so upset that I had been treated like this for no reason whatsoever, just because I didn’t know the name of my current medications then and there. To add to it when I came out of the room, everyone in the waiting room had heard the entire conversation. I was charged $90 when I had been told on the phone that the practice bulk bills, they failed to mention to me that they only bulk bill for veterans and kids under 14 years old. Not the first time I’ve had a bad experience here but I thought last time was a one off. Guess it’s just a thing that happens here, Won’t be back.
My experience with the reception staff and the doctors have been excellent. Polite and approachable on every occasion until very recently. There has been some changes on reception with staff who have also very helpful until my most recent experience with a male who I later discovered he was the actual not only acting as receptionist, he was the practice manager and owner of the practice. I was astounded how ‘Michael’ the manager handled my request in rectifying errors on a medical report through a telephone conversation. He assumed his authority in changing not only the wording but, refusing to acknowledge or listen to what I was trying to say. I was completely cut off and the phone was slammed down. I called the practice again and asked Michael if I could speak to the manager and Michael threatened me with the police for harassment and not informing me at this point he was the manager. I was extremely upset and travelled to the practice to sort out my request which should have already been dealt with. Michael was at reception not making any eye contact and I then informed that Michael was indeed the actual manager. I shall never use this practice again whilst this man is present at the practice. The staff are amazing except for this individual who is very aggressive in his manner and should not be allowed to be employed in customer services.
Absolute rudeness from two doctors I have seen. They are obviously very unhappy with their lives. A little hello and a smile instead of a grunt will get you a lot further in life. And please don’t talk to adults like they are stupid. Receptionist not much better. Both times ended up going somewhere else.
