Went there to get matched with the Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation however the GA sales assistant/makeup artist was not around so I got the help of a David Jones sales assistant, she did not care whatsoever, matched me first with a shade 3 colours lighter than my skin and then we settled for shade 5 which was STILL light for me. I asked for a sample and she struggled to give a sample that I'll be able to use ONCE. It's a $99 foundation and I better get matched properly for the amount of money I was willing to spend, would not recommend she continues in that industry if she hates her job and doesn't understand the basics of undertones and matching your foundation with your body, not your face.

Staff are always friendly and I like the convenience of being able to get many high end brands under one roof. For people who complain about staff never standing behind counters- I was speaking to one of the girls in womenswear and she told me that at David Jones they are actually taught not to stand behind the counters chatting, but rather go out onto the floor to greet and help customers. THIS is good customer service people!

it’s rediculous when you wish to SPEND money you have to wait 30 mins and then crack it before getting served. myers here i come !!!!!!

David Jones has my heart for one simple reason. If I have a receipt I can change things. Now I don't use this for my personal shopping but it is SO handy to buy things for Christmas 5 or 6 weeks in advance and know that if they don't like it or it doesn't fit there is no problem in changing it over! Service pretty meh most of the time but I'll serve myself lol
