Curry Bowl

Came to this place regularly for lunch and man they sure know how to serve.. Food is nice, the ladies are kind and of course I didn't have to clear the plates from where others had left but I did it anyway because I truly appreciated their food. Love love love this food.

Perfect place to get your curry fix for under $15. Biriyani combo today had veg rice, curry chicken , green apple curry and eggplant with papadam n other stuff. It was spicy and delicious. Decent portion size. There was a bit of a queue even around 12:45 and most of the short eats were gone. So best get in early to try those.

Curry Bowl serves Sri Lankan food. For some reason everytime I visited them, I noticed that they serve food in a very unpleasing or uninteresting way. Even though you pay a dollar extra for it, Biryani never has any meat in it and doesn't taste any better although many Indian eateries serve vegetarian biryani, the dish by default is considered a meat dish. Other food tastes just okay. Fried stuff can be avoided. This place is okay to have a quick bite of Asian/ Indian sub-continental food, but if you really want to taste authenticity, go somewhere else.

The food was really good especially hoppers. The guy on the front was very welcoming as well. Definitely value for money.

I guess the best place to have a decent Sri Lankan lunch in the city for a great price. They are authentic and taste the way they should. The takeaway portion is somewhat smaller compared to what you can have when dining-in. Still, I wouldn't lower the rating as they just took me home every time I had my lunch there. :

the place is a bit run down, but the food is awesome, non nonsense quick curry, try their spicy beef curry - AMAZING !

My first experience was okay. There was nothing extraordinary about this place and food. Their system is weird and confusing and the staff didn't explain how their buffet works.

Was quite surprised to find this place along the busy Lonsdale street, i came here after my work and to my surprise it was pretty reasonable n generous amount of tasty food was served. Overall it was a great experience n good food.

Brought back memories of childhood in Sri Lanka . Amazing food for cheap!
