Story

Her Majesty's Theatre, one of Melbourne's most iconic venues for live performance, has been entertaining Australia since 1886.

Over the past 130 years, HMT has been the home to all Melbourne’s great musicals, as well as presenting opera, ballet, plays and concerts.

To add that special something to your visit, HMT has elegantly appointed private rooms and catering options available for anywhere from couples celebrating a romantic night out at the theatre, through to large groups.

Beautiful classic theater. I have attended Charlie and the chocolate factory show with the kids in school holidays. There is a stylish coffee shop +bar  inside where you can order your favorite drink and dessert in style. No photos allowed during theatrical events.

Theatre was amazing. We had a family of 14 so thought it was going to be tricky but helpful staff, all seats are great views of the stage. Toilets had a bit of a queue but not unexpected. Close to public transport and cheap parking if you check you ticket for the discount code. Highly recommend for all ages!

Great theatre lovely  friendly staff, clean amenities. We loved our seating location. It was for Charlie and the chocolate factory. Which was a great production.

It is so amazing to have the phantom of opera in Her Majesty’s theatre- a posh environment that makes you enjoy one of the best musicals in the world. The decorations within it is absolutely stunning, and the whole environment just allows more get involved in the story.

Helpful, smiling staff at every interaction. It was easy to enjoy this old majestic theatre which is well maintained and clean. Old fashioned night out.... awesome!
