Unfortunately a bit disappointing overall. The coffee was cold and the burger was quite dry with no sauce, seasoning, or even salt, pepper or cutlery provided at the table. The milkshake was actually really nice and probably the highlight. The menu is also on the expensive side for the quality of food served. Hoping it was just an off day as the place has potential.
We seized our last chance before the Christmas shutdown to bike to Crusoe’s Cafe. Owner Sam was an absolute delight, and the food and coffee were outstanding. I ordered an Aussie Big Brekkie sorry didn't take a photo, but it was choice of 2 eggs poached, fried or scrambled on turkish toast, rashes of bacon, chorizo sausage, roasted tomato, mushrooms and a hashbrown. 2 Ice Long Blacks, Buttermilk Pancakes and a natural strawberry milkshake. Everything was delicious and we can't wait to go back again!
Crusoe Cafe is an amazing place to eat. The food is really good and the coffee is one of the best in Coffs. The customer service is great and the staff are always friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere is nice and makes you want to stay longer. I would definitely recommend Crusoe to anyone visiting
The current 4.5 star rating was earned under the previous owner. Keeping that rating under new management is misleading and gives customers the wrong impression. Reviews should reflect the current service and quality, not the past. Transparency matters, and customers deserve honesty..nnUPDATED REPLYnnI’m still curious what qualifies as an “actual experience.” I sat down, ate the food, and observed the service… the only thing I didn’t do was process the payment. If that’s the deciding factor, that’s an interesting standard.nnThe portions were smaller, the food was lukewarm, and the quality didn’t reflect the rating currently being promoted. That’s the concern.nnAlso, the recent Facebook food posts appear heavily AI-generated, which doesn’t exactly inspire confidence. When presentation online feels artificial and the in-person experience feels diminished, it raises questions about authenticity overall.nnTransparency matters, both online and on the plate
Absolutely loved our visit! The mushroom eggs Benny was incredible!!! Perfectly cooked, full of flavour, and beautifully presented. You can tell real care goes into the food.nnThe view is stunning and makes the whole experience even more special. On top of that, the staff were warm, welcoming and genuinely friendly.nnFive-star experience all around. We’ll definitely be back!nThank you, Crusoe team
