Story

Located in the iconic James Street precinct, CRU bar + cellar has established a reputation as Brisbane's premiere wine bar. Offering an award winning wine list, a carefully considered cocktail menu, quality dining options and professional, courteous staff, CRU provides a relaxed atmosphere unlike any other.

CRU bar + cellar stocks an outstanding and ever changing retail selection encompassing wine, beer, spirits, Riedel glassware and more. Our enthusiastic and experienced sommeliers are available from 9am until 7pm seven days a week to ensure every individual is matched to their ideal purchase.

Four individual function areas provide the diversity to select from a night of casual cocktails and tapas, a sit-down fine dining experience or something in between. CRU can accommodate functions for groups of between ten and sixty.

CRU bar is committed to serving all of our patrons in a friendly, responsible and professional manner with due care being shown for the well being and safety of all patrons and staff.

Yummy is really all I have to say about this Chic place. I haven't had the opportunity to stop in prior to but it's definitely worth the trip. Great service and knowledgeable about the wines and pair the food accordingly. Made our day quite special . Thanks we will be bk again.

Just love this place... You must order the sprung rolls. Also can choose from the cellar and pay corkage, good value in the long run. You can reserve a bar spot at weekends

I kinda try and avoid the vapid shallow side of Brisbane that is embodied in James St but sometimes it’s unavoidable. CRU bar is actually really great though, knowledgeable staff and a huge selection of wine and spirits. Food is alway on point too.

I felt very upset & disappointed by the staff of Cru Bar this afternoon. I was leaving to exit the bar only to walk through a location where oily residue had been left on the floor and unfortunately went straight down and hit my bottom on the floor. This was of great humour to the staff and some patrons. There was no wet floor sign, no staff guarding the area where apparently (I was in toilet so hadnot seen it occur) a waitress had dropped empty dinner plates. I have always been a huge fan of your establishment and frequented in the past for your both your food and lovely service. Sadly I was not offered a hand up, only laughs and ridicule. I was not drunk, I had one wine with dinner (and it was 5.30pm when we were leaving). I had back surgery performed last week, I am now in throbbing pain and I can’t believe it would be if such humour for you all to see a nicely dressed lady hurt herself as a result of your own negligence and fault.

Definitely one of the best restaurants I’ve been to in a while in Brisbane. The food was amazing and I can’t wait to go back again to try more on their menu.
