Bar Alto is a great place to enjoy a drink, delicious bar food or fancy sit down dinner. Price ranges to suit most depending on bar food or dining options. Modern Italian dining with very high quality offerings.nnThe staff are always friendly and professional. With both inside and outside options, great views of the Brisbane River, and the old industrial building, Bar Alto is well worth visiting.nnCombined with a show or events including photo exhibitions and live music, it makes for one of Brisbane’s best venues. Plenty of options for transport including bus, city cat or taxi.
Great atmosphere that is only enhanced by the engaged and helpful wait staff. Did not have a reservation and it was busy with a show event but they managed to fit us in. I had the Pumpkin Ricotta wrapped in a crepe with tasty butter sauce and sage crisps. Other dishes were the chefs special Lamb Ravioli, Sardinian Pork and of course Fries, Broccolini and stunning Rocket and Pear salad. The stand out dish was the wrapped Pumpkin and crisped Sage. Will be back again. The food was great, staff was great but also should mention the view is an added bonus
A super cool place in Brisbane. We were a group of 12 and got a private room in the back. Service was excellent and when they didn’t have a bottled bitter lemon the bar man came up with his own and much better version. Loved that the waiter wouldn’t give up to serve a drink I was feeling to have after checking several times with me. The food was excellent. Everyone loved what they ordered and we couldn’t resist to have dessert as well. Live the style of the place. Modern feeling in an old building. Happy to go back anytime.
Good vibes, great view and friendly staff. However, the food was okay. The stand out dishes were octopus, prawns and peach dessert which were all very good and the rest such as the chicken, fish, pasta and mussels were pretty average and overpriced for what you get. Good to try.
I booked a table at Bar Alto to have a meal before a show my husband and I were attending. We had a corner table outside overlooking the river which was perfect. Our meal was delicious the nights special for starter and shared Lamb shoulder for main, the lamb was more than enough for the 2 of us. Our server was Franz who was superb, friendly, efficient and did a great job.nWe will return.
