I have found Owen & his receptionist to be very helpful & professional. Owen really cares for all animals. Better prices then other vets around in Upper Coomera. He is very knowledgeable & has time to listen to your concerns. I have been going to Coomera Vet for 18 yrs now & would recommend the practice.
The flow here is all about what’s best for your pets and not the cash register. He deals with all animals great and small with a passion and knowledge of caring and sharing. Trust is the operative word for this exceptional Man, even when he is grumpy his heart and knowledge is in the right place. I have a lot to thank him for!
I had been watching my dog spiral for the past 6-12 months. I had dozens of trips to the local vet, treating one symptom after another, with no real outcome and I knew it didn't feel right. I was skeptical of the 5 star rating but had nothing left to lose. Less than 2 days after coming to Coomera Veterinary Surgery, my dog ran for the first time and a few days after that, physically looked like the dog I remember. Dr Owen put the welfare of the dog and the needs of the customer first. I truly can't thank him enough or recommend someone more highly.
Dr Owen was our vet. WAS, our vet. The last time we visited with our cat, who was licking her self due to stress, all he could suggest was putting her down. No other options. Just to be put down. My mum came home hysterical. He gave us no other options and we felt like he was just fed up and could not be stuffed trying anything else. We have since started seeing another vet and after being given many other options she is now 100% and better than ever. His heavy handed, old school vet approach is disgusting and he should not be practising. Do not take your pets here.
First and last time. Took my dog for vaccinations and a check up. He barely looked at my dog, dismissed any questions I had, made inappropriate jokes and generally, was just very rude. I walked out of there thinking ‘what the hell did I just pay for?’
Dr Owen is an amazing vet. He is so thorough and great at what he does. Every animal isn't just a number there or $$$ he actually cares and finds the right outcome for your furry family member. He is always the first person to see if anything arises.
The vet is knowledgeable and so cheap!!! He's a third of what others charge. He does this for a passion for animals and not for gain like most. My cat hardly knew he was getting an injection. Thank you for providing such a wonderful service for our precious pets.
I honestly can't put into words just how good.how thorough he is with diagnosis. Gentle and caring with every animal he attends.he even comes outside if needed to a dog who is guilty of being a risk to other dogs. But each time he did the dogs loved him.the best vet ever.fees the best on the Gold Coast. I WOULD PERSONALLY NEVER TAKE MY FURBABIES TO any other vet.
Well what can I say ? Owen saved our boy Bruno German boxer who’s ten It’s still early days and anything could happen but after going to the point vet at paradise point we are really dissapointed that they let his big lump grow to the size it did ! Dr Owen removed a mass of 3.5 kilos It takes a skilled surgeon of 40 years to take such a risk to operate on our much loved family member Bruno holds a special place in my heart and after many years of good health I could not fathom just putting him down His vital organs were all ok and he still had will to live This is a message for all dog / animal owners go see dr Owen he has a no fuss no nonsense approach to solving problems and he will be COMPLETELY honest with the prognosis Our dog could have been treated a month ago at the point vet but they put it into the too hard basket Ontop of all of this owen saved us thousands The point vet wanted us to pay $2,500 for a cat scan which wouldn’t have shown us many things He went in he operated and they kept him overnight I/ we are so super super grateful to have accidentally found this vet by chance Thank you to the horse shop at Oxenford for recommending Owen it just goes to show if you become complacent with your vet and you don’t ask the right questions or put pressure then you will lose your loved one Owen called Bruno our friend It meant so much to me that he was in good hands and I wish I knew bout them many years ago I highly recommend this vet for all your pet care needs He is trustworthy honest reliable and fairly priced you can tell he does this for the love of it Get out of the mainstream vets and start asking some hard questions and if your not happy GET A SECOND OPINION it could be the difference between life and death We are so grateful to have an extra day week month or year with our boy who has done so so much for us Thank you Owen and the team for everything let’s keep praying hoping and nurturing Bruno to good health so grateful I found this place !
He's been my vet for my horses, cats & dogs for about 17 years now. He genuinely cares about the animals & their welfare & takes the time to explain what he is doing & why & what is happening to your pet. He's an excellent vet who also charges very reasonable prices, which is really great to see. I wouldn't take my pets to anyone else. Thank you so much Owen for all the care you have given to my pets over the years.
