We purchased a $250 apple gift card and when we tried to use it we found it had already been redeemed. We contacted apple and they provided written evidence it had been redeemed before we had purchased it as shown on date and time of receipt. Despite providing all this evidence to Coles they still refused to refund our money and were incredibly rude to deal with. They prey on the small consumers and have no respect for Australian consumer law. Disgraceful!
I wish I could give 0 stars. This is place is disappointing the way they treat customers, the self checkout lady’s are rude and intimidating. The lady with black curly hair and the other lady with thin blonde hair are the culprits usually late at night I have been acused multiple times of stealing when I have not I literally work for the Coles group besides the point I understand not wanting to lose stock but customer service should be priory I have to drive to another Cole’s because of the way these staff treat me get better staff or train them to focus on customer service.
Me and my friend arrived at 11:57 pm. Women behind the doors denied us entrance into the building despite stating they close at 12:00 am. Me and my mate only wanted to buy one thing and we knew where it even was. Disappointed.
Staff are not very friendly in general. One or two exceptions.nI understand that there is a need to have staff monitoring the self serve machines.nBut it doesn't need to be intimidating.nIf you only have one or two check outs with a human being then we as customers are forced to do our own work.nIt is really uncomfortable the way, in this store in particular, you are looked at with such suspicion. It you have a fullish trolley and are doing the scanning yourself.They glare at you and stand like soldiers. It really is Big Brother. And the surveillance cameras.nWon't return. There are more cordial staff at many other supermarkets around the area.
Great selection of international food and always very fresh produce. And they are open till midnight!
