If you want to check people’s bags, try doing it nicely rather than low-key criminalizing customers. If I’m after eggs and they’re not stocked in the morning then I should feel free to leave the store without purchasing anything and without being shamed. This is targeted at the man working in the self-checkout area the 8/7/2024 at around 8 am. I usually have no issues with the other staff who work in self-checkout as I’m a regular, matter of fact they’re all lovely.
Though I always order pick up but generally very convenient place to shop.nAlso nice staff very helpful.nIt is located inside Westfield so easy to park… easy access.

Majority self service now, and staff will flat out refuse to serve you at a normal register after about 7pm till close. Absolutely the most joyless and stressful shopping experience in Canberra now. Horrible store with obviously unhappy staff.
I had this misfortune of being in a wrong line with other customers wanting to scan their goods. We were all told off by an unfriendly indian looking girl 3pm yesterday 2/4. take your business to woollies.......less stress.
