Story

Welcome to coffee lab. We love breaking down the science behind coffee, the more we know about our drinks the more we can get out of them. We never settle with our product and are always experimenting to improve what we serve.

Grab a quick brew to go or sit down and ask one of our staff about what experiments are happening at the moment. We serve fantastic coffees from all over the world in a variety of brew methods. Whether you like it black or white we always have something new to try. If coffee isn't your thing that's fine, we've also got other food and drink options from local Canberra specialists.

Great coffee. Lactose free milk available. Don't be afraid to ask for simple eggs on toast, with or without sides - it's not listed on the menu but they will do it happily. Only downside to this place is that it doesn't have toilets - you have to hoof it over to the Canberra Centre proper to use the public restrooms there.

I used to frequent this place about a year ago and loved it, and had started going again once a week, and have been sorely disappointed. The staff had very little interest in serving me and coffee was only so-so. Not bothering next week.

I use to go here so much when i was last in Canberra and returned after 14 months to find the coffee even better than before. I looked at the menu but who am I fooling, it has to be the No Ragrets breakfast. It still looks and tastes as beautiful as it ever was. So good to see a place stick to what they do good and don't change for changes sake.

I was surprised to hear from the shabby waiters that, since they love listening to loud music, they would be unwilling to turn the volume down a tiny bit so a friend and I could chat. One waiter in particular said 'this is not a meeting place'. Coffee shops are indeed meeting places and most importantly, how about a little decency and customer service?

Coffee Lab is my favourite place to get coffee in the city. The staff are so friendly and make a mean cup of coffee. The food is excellent--definitely a good spot for breakfast--and you should absolutely order one of their cronuts: you'll be glad you did!
