Stayed here for two nights to attend a function nearby. Hotel was selected from reviews and website photos, we don't always acknowledge negative reviews as the world is full of Karen's.nHowever this time we should have, the room had a musty smell or should say the whole floor had the same smell. Furniture upholstery had stains and our only chair was about to fall apart. Coffee set-up was a little different to their posted photo, tried their coffee lucky for us we had some Nespresso Coffee with us.nDim lighting, only had sufficient lighting in the morning with sun light shining into the room. Bathroom lighting was appalling, impossible for my wife to apply make-up. Vanity basin was stained with broken plug.nThe carpet had fluff build-up around furniture with small pieces of rubish and other previous guest items, need to look at their vacuum cleaner and see if it works.nWe had the room made up, well towels were replaced and dooner was pulled up on the bed, couldn'teven adjust the sheets or tuckin. Not sure what else was.nIt wax a scary thought on how clean the kitchenette items were, no dishwashing liquid did have a teatowel and wash though.nWebsite photos showed gym, bar area, large bright rooms. They must have been from when first built, it not where we stayed.nLast one, parking or should we say lack of, never made it into the small vehicle carpark, the large vehicle carpark is small, had rubbish covering two parks of about ten against the building. Entry was tight, with a steep driveway that you need to navigate, if like me you are disabled almost impossible.nNo we won't be staying there again, however this is our opinion feel free to stay and form your own.nPlease note this is a Choice listed hotel which are usually a good quality hotel.nShould have mentioned when posting this review, staff were wounderfull, polite and courteous. Provided us with anything we require if available, from a trolley to assist with luggage to extra wine glasses for entertaining our friends.nThankyou, they are a credit to the hotel who should be supported more by management and hotel owners. Remember any issues guests find wrong with their rooms is directed at this staff.
I stayed a night on a work trip. The room was nice but it had no drinking water. And I accidentally left my pregnancy pillow and didn’t get it back… despite calling and asking to send it at my cost. I understand it was my mistake but who steals a pregnancy pillow?! Very disappointed.
I only stopped for a quick overnight, on both occasions arriving late and leaving early.nAlways someone at the desk until 23:00 and again from 06:00nRooms are clean and modern but the front rooms can get noisy as they overlook the street.nUnderground secure night parking is available- no charge.
I'm not sure where the negative reviews came from, I had a king room on the first floor, and it was great. It was big, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean and up to date. The guy at reception went over and above, I called 2 minutes before arrival to locate the parking. He asked what type of car I had, and noting it was a large vehicle he stood beside one of the two driveways to direct me to the best suited. Happily, stay there when I go back. Thank you.
Place was very average. My colleagues and my room reaked of damp. Had to buy air freshners for the rooms. Shower head was broken. Super co.fy bed though, clean room.
