I had two different areas to discuss with the council; bulk rubbish collection and dog registration. The attendant on the phone was knowledgeable and helpful in both areas. She was both professional and pleasant. I could not have asked more from the service.

Poor service! Constantly being told we can't do that, we don't provide that service! Then when I called some little madam continually interrupted me when I was explaining something and would not let me finish what I was saying, even when I said, rather loudly, excuse me, will you let me finish. She interrupted probably 3 times so I hung up! Before I swore at her.

In mid January 2018, I booked mattress disposal through city of Stirling website. Read through the fine details, understood and confirmed the booking for Tuesday 13th February 2018. The website only allows booking once a week on Tuesdays. Moved the mattress at 10pm on Monday 12th February 2018 and surprisingly it wasn't collected by the council. Brought the mattress in at 10pm on Tuesday 13th February. On 14th February, rang the council and spoke to Vanessa, we agreed for the council to call me back after they spoke to the contractor. I asked if I can just reschedule perhaps the council made a mistake but the idea was rejected. On Thursday 15th February rang the council back and spoke to Reese, who explained the contractor were going to collect it on Wednesday 14th as their truck was full. BUT I was never informed. Over the phone, Reese said "leave it on the verge and we will pick it up tomorrow" Left the mattress on the verge for Friday 16th February 2018 and ALAS!! when I returned from work at 6pm...AGAIN the matress wasn't collected. Going to drop the mattress off at council's office next week. Poor council service, polite but useless (not effective employees), aweful truck contractor and overall $#itty experience

Very slow service even for the public sector. Rates are too high for the services provided compared to every other council.
