Today was my 3rd attempt at my PDA in Mirrabooka. Previous times other assessors have not been good for my confidence and I failed both times by 1 mark. They huffed, puffed and add additional stress to an already stressful scenario. Today however I was assessed by Martin 2337 I passed!! The assessor did an amazing job at communicating what needed to be demonstrated clearly and also he kept my nerves at ease as best as possible. Due to multiple failures at this centre the nerves and pressure on myself were very high. Martin was really friendly and his energy put me at ease! Thank you so much for a much more pleasant PDA than I have experienced here previously. he reminded me to take deep breathes! of course the day was even better as I now have my P’s!
Horrific ExperiencennI attended this centre today to simply transfer a licence between states. I was not informed of the wait time, which ended up being two and a half hours. I was also not informed about the several points of ID required for this process.nDespite waiting a ridiculous amount of time, filling in documentation, and providing several types of ID, I was not allowed to assertion a WA licence.nAs i have recently relocated to Perth and its surrounding suburbs, I am actively trying to organise a life for myself and family.nThis has been made increases more difficult by this centre, the attitudes and incompetence of the staff, combined with the unwillingness to help the processes they enforce.nI would advise everyone to use another centre whenever possible.
This Center is a joke 3.5 hours to drop old plates off. But happy to send me a fine if I don’t return them. Why can’t you just drop off in a drop box. 3rd time trying to drop plates off. Government need a good slap.
It’s as depressing as a funeral in this place. 20 counters but only 10 reps? No phone signalor provided wifi to pass waiting time. The lines always coming out the door. You wait for 2hours, then get kicked out if it hits 4.30pm, only to come back another day for another 2hours. If they opened every counter, you’d still be waiting for frustratingly long, but it would be twice as quick at least
Service was relatively fast considering how many people were there. I had Sarah, who was so helpful and told me that I should register my license as age pension and it becomes free , I got $100 off licensing my car and change of ownership was also cheaper. So many people like me are used of being charged and because we are used of paying. It’s only when you find a helpful person about the discounts you are untitled to. Excellent government department.
