This place has really deteriorated in recent times. My partner was in this shop today and walked out totally disgusted. The upstart assistant abruptly told her that she wasn’t allowed to check out an items yellow sticker price behind the so called “pink sticker” farcical “special” price. The “special” price was exactly the same as their original price. Must be a touchy subject for Discount Chemist Warehouse as they are firmly in the sights of the ACCC for their unethical business practices. They hike prices and then discount to the average going price, misleading the customer into believing they were getting a good deal. This mob have been doing this for years and a comprehensive government investigation is way overdue. The staff at this DCW are long overdue for an attitude adjustment. We will shop elsewhere from now on.
Went to get scripts fill about a month ago at Whitfords Chemist warehouse asked for all scripts to be dispensed 11/2 hour wait, when returned to collect only 3 out of 4 dispensedthey had missed one said they would fill script, asked if I had to wait another hour and a half staff member rolled eyes and said she would ask for it to be done now. All good, only took about 5 minutes and was happy to wait. Went to Chemist Warehouse at Home Co yesterday to get all scripts filled again, when collecting the staff member told me that they couldn’t dispense one of the drugs as the blue copy was missing and that I needed to go back to the Whitfords store and ask if they had the blue copy there. Today went to whitfords store and explained all above to staff member, was told that they could dispense the drug for me but I asked for the blue copy and they said they would have to view the camera footage of the day I had previously been there to see if they had returned the blue copy to me. This was going to take 15 minutes, as I had other things to do I asked if they could call me when they had viewed the footage. Over an hour and a quarter later I had not received a call so I headed back to see what was going on, the same staff member said that the script was ready. I asked her if they had found the blue copy and was told that they couldn’t see the blue copy, I asked what this meant, she said they didn’t have it, I said was she saying that I had lost it, she just looked blankly at me so I repeated myself she looked quite shocked that I was expecting an answer, another staff member stepped in and said that they couldn’t not tell from the footage what had happened as the footage was not clear and that I would have to return to that store to have that drug dispensed each time until the script had run out. I said that this was not convenient for me as was told that without the blue copy their was no other way. I was not happy with this so asked what the footage had shown, the reply was that it was unclear. In my frustration I ask if anyone had physically looked for the blue copy, was it possible that it had been put on file. The reply was if it was on file then there would be a note on the computer she then without saying another word went to the computer and started typing then disappeared. I waited another 20 minutes not knowing what was happening when the original staff member walked out saying that it had been found. When I asked how, apparently it had been on file!!!really can not believe that it was more important to them to view the footage of when it was previous dispensed to work out who to blame rather to actually look for the document. Had to put a star as it wouldn’t accept the post otherwise.
This store is a shambles. Overstaffed with staff rotating around the shelves doing who knows what but light on with staff actually serving. Avoid click and collect. More likely than not the order can’t be filled even though monies have been paid. I’ve been owed a refund from an unfilled order since mid April despite numerous app messages that no one bothers to answer. This store needs a serious shakeup.
Step inside, and your basic human rights will be thrown out the window.nnMy experience at this store was absolutely appalling. The security staff at the entrance don’t just check bags—they treat every customer with arrogance and hostility, as if we are criminals. Instead of a professional approach, they bark orders in a rude and aggressive manner, showing zero respect.nnBag checks are understandable, but there is no excuse for intimidation and public humiliation. Customers deserve to be treated with basic human decency, not subjected to harassment the moment they step inside. This level of service is completely unacceptable, and unless management steps in to stop this disgraceful behavior, this store does not deserve anyone’s business.nnAvoid this place unless you enjoy being treated like a suspect instead of a customer.
This outlet quite regularly does not carry routine prescription medication but rather than telling you upon presenting the prescription that they’re out of stock makes you wait till 10 or more minutes before advising you they have no stock. Staff advising you, do so in a very unapologetic manner that reflects poorly on the Chemist Warehouse Brand nor did they advise you which surrounding outlets may carry stock.
