A week ago today, on the 15th of June, I was shopping in store from around 6:30pm onwards and was there for well over an hour. I’d just had my car broken into and lots of belongings stolen, so was attempting to replace some products.nnGoing to this particular Chemist Warehouse just felt like the cherry on top of an already awful day.nThe girls working that evening were genuinely unpleasant. Gossiping from the moment I entered to the moment I left..& I don’t mean they were having a quick chat between tasks, I mean for the entire time I was in store they were standing around the counter whispering, talking badly and carrying on amongst themselves. The makeup section is right near the counter, so it wasn’t something I noticed once or twice, it was constant throughout my visit.nnOn top of that, the shelves were poorly stocked. There was little makeup out and it was hard to find basic products like bronzer and blush because so much was empty.nnWhen I finally went to check out after spending over an hour trying to piece together replacements for things that had been stolen, I was ignored while staff continued their conversation with one another & again this was just them talking badly about someone else they obviously all have in common.nnApologies for the Karen, I wouldn’t normally bother writing one, but the customer service was genuinely awful. I walked in already having a terrible day and somehow left feeling even worse. The whole experience was really disappointing especially coming from a chemist warehouse ride or die.. Besides the security guy, he was welcoming and friendly.
Might be cheap, but the customer service is appalling here. Waited for 15 minutes tomorrow off a script, said I'd collect it the next day. Had to practically do a dance to make eye contact on pickup, and the scripts were not ready. Dropped off at 5:40pm for 8:40am collection. So far they can't even find my scripts ‍nn10 minutes later: scripts hadn't been done. Also managed to get my first name totally incorrect. Impressive effort for e-scripts. Filled in the time. Y chatting to another customer who had been issued I correct medicine. Twice.nnNot coming back.
Went to purchase some aftershave, thinking they generally secure it behind the counter, I was informed they don't, but instead of the usual, it's down there, the service rep, said I'll grab it for you. I didn't catch her name, but whoever it was, was a real asset to your business, so helpful, and was more than happy to help. I'm glad I went in there, was worth the extra drive. :
Very busy store. Had my car ran into here also. Also had a security guard insinuate I stole on one occasion. I wrote a formal complaint and the security guard was made to apologise to me. Other than that its a good store. Enter at youre own risk.
I visited this Chemist Warehouse to shop for perfume, but unfortunately there were no testers on display, which made it impossible to choose a fragrance. When I asked the staff for help, they were unhelpful and seemed disinterested in assisting. Overall it was a frustrating experience and I left without buying anything. The store would be much better if they provided testers and had staff who can actually help customers.
