Overall, I’ve usually had a wonderful experience shopping here. The staff are helpful and the range and prices are great.nHowever, one issue really stood out: never leave your prescription script with them. Unfortunately, they lost mine and didn’t notify me when it was time for the next collection, even though they said they would send reminders. When I went back to collect the remaining medication, they told me the script had expired so they threw it away without informing me at all. I was left without my much-needed medication and no proper follow-up. A student pharmacist did try to assist and the manager eventually suggested I see another doctor or do an online consult to get a new script. While I understand policies, prescriptions are too important to be mishandled like this. A disappointing experience for something so critical!
I had a wonderful experience at Chemist Warehouse thanks to Tracy! She was incredibly friendly, patient, and knowledgeable. Tracy helped me find an amazing fragrance that suited me perfectly, and she made the whole shopping experience so enjoyable. Her customer service went above and beyond I really appreciate her help. Thank you, Tracy, for your excellent service
Tonight I visited Chemist Warehouse, hoping for a straightforward shopping experience. Initially, I was pleasantly surprised — a young staff member noticed I was struggling to choose between several glucosamine and chondroitin products and kindly offered assistance. She was patient, professional, and genuinely helpful. I regret not catching her name, because she deserves recognition for her excellent service.nnUnfortunately, that’s where the positives ended.nnWhile I was still deciding on a product, my phone ran out of battery. I decided to return to my car to charge it and think things over. Not wanting to disrupt the orderly line of customers waiting at the checkout, I avoided walking through them. Just then, I noticed someone exiting through the entrance. Since it seemed possible, I turned around to follow the same path out.nnBefore I could even step forward, I was stopped by a security guard and told to leave through the other side. Fair enough — exits exist for a reason. But I couldn’t help asking: Why was the woman before me allowed to leave through the entrance? His response left me speechless:nn“Because she’s the store manager.”nnExcuse me?nnThat is completely unacceptable. Being the store manager should not exempt anyone from following store protocols — in fact, a manager should be held to an even higher standard. The message here was clear: there are two sets of rules — one for staff, and one for customers. I pressed the issue, and the guard’s next justification was even more absurd:nn“Well, you’re carrying a shopping bag.”nnSo now we're making up rules on the spot? Does carrying a bag change the direction of the exit doors? Is policy enforcement now based on visual assumptions?nnThe double standards were blatant and deeply disappointing. It wasn’t just the rule — it was the attitude. The security guard’s dismissive and inconsistent explanations made it painfully obvious that customer experience was the last thing on his mind.nnDespite everything, I still returned after charging my phone and made a purchase. But the encounter left me with a strong sense of frustration and disrespect. I felt like an outsider being told, “You’re not one of us, so you don’t get the same treatment.”nnTwo stars — and only because of the outstanding service from the young shop assistant. Without her, this would’ve been a one-star review, without hesitation.nnManagement, take note: rules only matter when they apply to everyone.
I had a disappointing experience when I went to pay at the register. The shop assistant, a tall staff member who appeared to be of Indian background didn’t greet me or even respond when I said hi. The interaction felt very cold. At the end, they just handed me the receipt without saying a word, no “thank you” or “have a nice day.” Basic courtesy was completely missing, which really impacted how I felt about shopping here.
