What a fantastic little brewery to enjoy small batch beers. Located within the grounds of The Mill precinct.nnWe were blessed it was a beautiful sunny warm winters afternoon. We sat outside under the awning and enjoyed a tasting paddle. We thoroughly enjoyed all beers we sampled. We will definitely return.nnGreat place to enjoy a beer and a meal on a weekend.
Always such a welcoming atmosphere when I come to Shedshaker!nnMy partner and I decided we’d head into town tonight for a quick feed while we’re back here celebrating our anniversary. Tonight we decided we’d grab the salsiccia and the classic Margherita, plus some foccacia for fun!nnIt was quite busy because there was live music from a band but we didn’t mind, we were there to spend time together and eat Castlemaine’s best pizzas.nnOnce the pizzas arrived, they were hot and fresh, not to mention how fluffy the foccacia was and it tasted fluffy too. Despite the wait, we had a really lovely time plus we left full and happy.nnUnfortunately, our time was cut short because once the table next to us received their meal a little behind schedule despite knowing it was busy, they were upset that the server was apologetic for the wait and made it clear the reasoning why there was a wait. To our confusion, the table was not understanding but took out their frustrations at the server as they were walking away, even though they had apologised. Due to this whole kerfuffle, my partner and I became uncomfortable because of the other patrons behaviour and left immediately.nnWe sincerely apologise for how the other patrons acted, as we had a very enjoyable time and had no issue with the wait!
What a great community based establishment! Tasty pizza, standout homemade microbrews, and a focus on live music, all at great prices in a lovely setting with impeccable service! We spent New Year’s Eve there and it was a fabulous evening. Highly recommended!
Great small brewery with a very good range of craft beers. I have a tasting paddle of 4 beers, my favourites are the golden ale and hazy ale. Also had the pizza here as well, serve hot straight out of the oven and very tasty. Overall it has a vibrant, and a bit quirky modern pub vibe. Highly recommended.
Welcomed in 2 min before 12 noon.nSat down and older woman burst out from back and loudly asked our group of 5 to leave. We said we were told ok to enter.nShe argued it was her job to allocate tables. We were put outside in the cold windy empty court yard and told to wait where we had been before asked to come in.nWe decided to take our $150 lunch elsewhere in town. She then chased us yelling about numbers of our group and that they had space no surprise as the place was empty.nClearly a hobby for owners as foot traffic not welcome.nApologies to the lovely dark haired lady who was so nice. You were awesome- business owner not so.
