Very poor. Staff appeared quite disinterested and uninviting to be working on a public holiday despite their 10% surcharge on food/drink prices for the day. We ordered our food. An hour passed and we were very hungry still waiting for our food and drinks to come. No one could be bothered to check in with us, so I took the liberty to check in with disinterested staff myself which then I was informed that they had “forgotten to put through our order”. Not good enough Save your money and go elsewhere.

Beautiful views and a nice outdoor sitting area. There isn’t any table service, so grab a menu and from inside. We had the baked eggs and the mushrooms. The baked eggs needs something saucy and the mushrooms a little bland. Coffee is good. Staff is friendly. They do drinks in the afternoons which would be perfect in the hot weather.

The food is delicious and the service amazing. We visited over the Easter long weekend and can definitely recommend the ribs that will melt in your mouth, falling off the bone with a very delicious bbq sauce. The jugs of cocktails are yummy too, we tried the Raspberry Mojito, OG Mojito and the Dark and Stormy. The mint was picked fresh from the garden! The view is amazing and is a must see for any visitor to Castlemaine. A bit spooky in the gaol and sad at the way inmates were treated - we did the Escape Room before dinner which was F.U.N. and worked up quite an appetite!

Elevated location on the walls of the Castlemaine Gaol with views over the town and surrounding area. Brunch, coffee and baking all available. Solid cafe all round!

Such a great place to eat. Breaky and lunch are delicious. Dinner on Friday and Sat. Just love this place. Open fires in winter and outside seating with fab views. Lots of yummy gluten free, diary free and vegan options🎂. My son loves their shoestring chippies. Highly recommend. And they're friendly there 😊👍❇️⭐️🌻
