On holiday in WA from NSW, my wife had reason to present to the Emergency Department at Carnarvon Hospital. She was treated promptly and professionally by Dr Hanna Nies who quickly diagnosed the problem and arranged for further confirmatory tests. We found the staff attentive and courteous with special thanks to Dr Nies for her expertise and care. We were very impressed with the treatment received at Carnarvon Emergency Department.
Holidaying at Carnarvon over Xmas and needed a doctor for my wife. Went to the A&E. The wait was as expected, maybe over 30 mins, but we were not an emergency case so no complaints there. The doctor was thorough and easily explained what he thought caused the ailment and why. He referred my wife to another doctor there for another problem, who organized a referral and booking for a specialist in Perth in January. All in all, excellent service from the time we walked in the door till we walked out. I just love country hospitals and Carnarvon did not disappoint.
When I arrived in Carnarvon I had what we thought was a badly sprained ankle and had been hobbling on it for 2 weeks. As it had improved but the improvement seemed to have reached a stalemate we went to ED to have it checked. The GP Hannah I saw was wonderful, very thorough and she then sent me for an X-ray straight away. That evening she phoned me and I missed the call but she left a message that I had broken a bone in my ankle and to go back next day for a moon boot. Later a lovely nurse Megan also phoned at the request of the GP to make sure I had the information. I went in the next day and was fitted with the moon boot in a very short time and told to see my GP in 4 weeks.nI am very grateful for the care I received at this hospital.
My wife and I recently were on holiday in Carnarvon where I became ill. I was taken to the ED and subsequently was admitted and spent 4 days in hospital.nI really want to compliment all of your staff. They were excellent and the care that I received was second to none for which we are eternally grateful.
Great staff,..my wife was well cared for. Thanks.nOnly recommendation I would have is to spell out on wall that you should see triage nurse first & not clerical desk in emergency room.
