Story

Since we opened our doors in 2002 it has been called ‘Can Tho Kitchen’ as our family loves spending time in the kitchen cooking and sharing at family gatherings.
This year we have incorporated ‘bar’ into our name, as family gatherings include drinking and no meal is an enjoyable meal without a drink or two, right?
So we want to bring you a piece of our home into your lives through traditional Vietnamese flavours from our kitchen recipes, by bringing our food out to you as it is cooked fresh on share plates. Because we believe when friends and family gather, all good food should be shared.

I would say Can Tho Kitchen is one of if not the best Vietnamese restaurants on the Gold Coast. Authentic flavours and and excellent and varied menu. Staff are always friendly and although this restaurant gets busy nearly every night it’s open, food comes out quickly and is perfect every time. Highly recommend this restaurant to all family and friends that come to the Gold Coast

Contemporary Vietnamese food. This restaurant has been around for a long time but has been taken over by the younger generation and they have turned it into a fabulous place to eat. Not cheap but worth every penny. Not always easy to get a table, best to book.

This place has great atmosphere, great food and the bartenders are amazing. One of the better Phos on the Coast. Super busy, would definitely recommend booking ahead. Would give 5 stars previously but last night's meal left a sour taste in me and my partner's mouth. Came in for the Valentine's banquet, food was too westernised, too sweet and didn't carry the authenticity seen in other dishes. Portion sizes were tiny for the amount paid, except for the dessert which was huge, bland and too heavy. Wait staff didn't really seem to care, didn't remove the plates before placing down new ones, cluttering the table. Barely topped up our water. Working previously in hospitality, we were trained to ask if everything was good, clear the table ensure water was topped up. Not sure if they were trained differently or not trained at all. Would not come back any time soon and would rather drive to Brisbane or South Gold Coast for better food and service.
