We recently held a family birthdays celebration in the Function Centre at Club Helensvale, with about 90 guests. The food was fantastic, the room is an amazing venue, and the staff were so friendly, cooperative and courteous, that we couldn't have wished for a better event. Special thanks to Ana and her team of Selbie, Denzel and Daina for all their efforts in ensuring our day was as memorable as possible. Many of our visitors commented on how brilliant the venue was along with the quality of the food and service. We definitely recommend Club Helensvale to anyone interested in holding a remarkable gathering in a remarkable venue. Thanks, guys!
Club Helensvale is a true community sports club and gathering place. It has a great atmosphere, excellent facilities and is focussed on delivering for the locals. The bowling greens are amazing with great viewing places, the club has lots of space and can escape for large and special events. Staff are always welcoming and friendly and the food options are also excellent from either the Cafe or the Bistro. Definitely worth a visit.
The renovations 3 years ago have improved the quality of the dining area and sports bar experience. And the huge new covers over the 2 greens are fantastic. Even though the car park is very big and a popular venue. You may have to park on the free street parking outside. Especially most days at lunchtime. Most of the red meat and poultry dishes and fish are quite good as far as club meals go. The only thing most of us seniors were brought up in our early years and those who support your club in more ways than one. Would appreciate our green vegetables cooked enough to be tender, especially if you are going to serve Brussels sprouts. Which are not desirable when hard. And our stomach functions easier with probably cooked vegetables. Eating hard vegetables is like eating tuff red meat. We would appreciate if on the menu, it said soft or hard VEG. Your attention to this would be appreciated. The cooked vegetables at Ocean Shores Country Club are spot on. I highly recommend this Club for Golf, Bowls and Dining. Other Clubs I recommend for Golf, Bowling, And tender vegetables and Dining are. Armidale Bowls Club, Mudgee Golf Club, Dubbo Golf Club. The Tin Shed sporting Club at Port Douglas. The Carrollee Hotel in Kingaroy. The Cattlemen’s Steakhouse in Charters Towers. Kobbers Motel Dalby. The Capricornian Restaurant in Emerald. The Globe Hotel in Rylstone. Our Place Restaurant in Yungaburra. The Bearded Dragon in Tamborine. Logan Village Hotel. Woolgoolga RSL. Sawtell RSL. Just to name a few. And if you luv your meat. And you’re staying at Emerald Beach. I highly recommend Russell’s Butcher at Moonee Beach shopping centre. New owners for the last 12 months. October 2025.
Fantastic venue food is great service is fantastic! Jumping castle for the kids and a games room and so many different seating options. We have been twice this week. Definitely a favourite in our book.
Lovely meals, well priced and service is always brillant. today I feel Kenny needs acknowledged. Unexpected offer for a lift to the venue from the car park. Kenny is a genuine asset to the club. Such a friendly man as well as selby who served the drinks. One of the most friendliest happiest lady’s I have come across. She was so busy, but nothing was a issue. Calm with a smile, and such a vibe. Thanks heaps for a great lunch and a very happy feeling leaving
