Can't complain about value. Came for lunch and had the Wednesday steak special for $15. Steak was tender and chips were amazing. Help yourself to chilled carafe of water at the bar and self serve utensils. Food delivered to table. Easy parking too.
We had a lovely lunch at Helensvale Tavern on Friday 23 January 2026, with a group of 36 people, and everyone had a great time.nnThe staff were welcoming, organised, and very accommodating of a large group, which made the experience relaxed and enjoyable from start to finish. Meals were well presented, generously sized, and served in a timely manner, and the atmosphere was comfortable and friendly.nnThank you to the team at Helensvale Tavern for helping make our group lunch such a pleasant and enjoyable occasion. We would happily return and recommend the venue for group bookings.
Have been back many times, great food great staff great prices. Was so impressed last time we went a week ago. Order for garlic bread was mixed up& lovely young waitress was so apologetic & said manager was offering free drink each for inconvenience. Will be back soon
Staff are friendly and helpful. Mostly the meals are good but recently have had 2 occassions both at lunchtime where steak was extremetly undercooked. Quick service and they have some good bands on in their play room
200g Eye Mignon $34:nServed with two optional sides and a sauce, and I go for hips, mashed potato, and pepper sauce.nI used to make my steak medium well but this time medium rare and some edges are still burnt and bitter. The meat is thick, fresh and relatively succulent.nOn the other hand, chips and mashed potatoes are both very tasty.nnThere is a passage that goes under Gold Coast Highway to Westfield.nSurprisingly, it’s my first time seeing that many people eating at a tavern at noon because it usually only gets bustling at night but silent at day. There is even an area inside full of slot machines.nHowever, I wouldn’t suggest order and pay with the QR code because the internet is very slow and the staff at the counter is nice.nnTo top it off, good price for a steak, delicious food but can be improved, poor mobile service, sorry, 8 out of 10.nI mostly give 9 - 9.5 out of 10
