What a delight! On the day I went in it was pouring with rain so a nice hot meal was exactly what I needed.....and I wasn't disappointed.nnI sat down near the wood fire and ordered the Original Parmigiana with chips and slaw. Considering how busy they were I didn't wait too long for my meal to arrive. The chicken Parmigiana was thick, juicy and tasted absolutely delicious with its topping. The chips were perfectly crispy and the slaw to die for. It was washed down with beer pint and came to about $45.....and worth every cent.nnService was great and the atmosphere inside was very inviting. Being that this is one of Australia's longest running licensed pub I can only see its future remaining so with high quality meals like this. If you considered going to New Norfolk for a visit then definitely stop in here for a meal.
An absolute gem. From the front you wouldn’t think anything of it but inside it’s great. They have upheld the heritage aspect of the building and have kept it in great condition.nThe back balcony has the most wonderful view down the valley and the food was delicious.
Very good lunch at the Bush Inn, Nice view over the river from the deck. Salt & Pepper squid was nice, Cheeseburger spot on and the Lamb rump special was delicious. Venue renovations are looming great.
We 9 of us recently celebrated my wife's birthday at the Bush. It could not have been better. Our waitress was great, the food was excellent and the staff really made an effort to make it a memorable experience. Top marks all round :
The greatest chicken schnitzel and bbq sauce I've ever had.nnA great old pub, with great service, prices.nnIf you are in Hobart make the trip out.
