Early morning Saturday was a good time to visit Bunnings. Not many customers around. I was looking for advice on painting bathroom ceiling and received great advice that will come in handy when I start my job. Very professional and courteous.
My experience at Bunnings Tuggeranong was ok except for the checkout. What checkout you ask??nALL the designated checkouts, including the self-serve were closed. Perhaps the Garden Centre checkout was working. I didn’t walk 50M to check.nAnyway, within the store one lady was handling all the returns/credits, all the sales/checkouts, and answering the store telephone. The phone rang almost incessantly while she was handling all the payment and credit transactions, and calming waiting customers. She clearly wasn’t handling just internal calls as she was answering about other stores, and things like community involvement.nNo complaints about her. In her position, I would have started throwing things.nSurely, rather than the person in the firing line, a back-room person can answer the phone, and when the queue is constantly 8 to 10 customers long, back-up must be provided.
This is for Nisal in special orders at the Tuggeranong branch. The rest of the store is great but seems understaffed. Nisal helped design our laundry, special ordered the bench top and sorted all my measurements for the cupboards. He was so polite and I was there for a few days off and on a few hours a time sitting with him and going through things. He handpicked things off the shelf for me and called when it was ready. He sent pictures and followed up whenever he said he would. His customer service and knowledge was exceptional & the laundry speaks for itself! Thanks Nisal! We really appreciated all your hard work!
Bunnings service has gone to the dogs, lucky for them they have no competition….nnSome staff are good and will go the extra mile to help you IF you can find them. A lot in my experience don’t give a toss and are ‘sorry they are about to go on their break…. ‘nCan’t tell you how many times I’ve returned things because I was given the wrong advice…..nAgain, lucky for them they have no competition….
Great hardware store with a good range and long opening hours. Night time shopping is much quieter, although can be hard to push a trolley around as some stock is refilled.nIf you find a staff member, they are generally very helpful. There is a public toilet, a cafe and a small playground inside.nDon't miss the fundraising sausage sizzles during the day.
