I was a bit worried before we arrived after reading some reviews, but I should not have been. The new owners had been there for 4 days but were so welcoming. Yes, maybe the unit needs a bit of an update, but the most important bit was fantastic. The bed was huge and really comfortable, and the sheets were crisp and clean, and so nice to sleep in. Ample pillows. It was very comfortable. The bathroom had plenty of room. There was a huge TV, so we were able to watch the Bathurst race comfortably. We would definitely stay again. It was also amazing to get dinner delivered to our room from Capers restaurant. Food was amazing.
My partner and I booked online last minute with no difficulty, when we got there, we had been travelling for my partners work, so we were worn, reception was kind, got our room, car space we thought were for us and the next room, nope all ours.nThe room was very spacey, immaculate and felt clean.nBed was so comfortable! TV worked amazingly.nThe shower was so good and immaculate aswell, it had beside the mirror, body lotion, hand wash and I forget the other one, dispenser for your convenience. In the shower, shampoo, conditioner and body wash dispenser also for your convenience and of course I indulged myself. Absolutely love the fragrances.nTowels were lovely and thick toonComplementary breakfast was goodnMy partner and I weren't ready for the 10am check out and they were happy to oblige and let us stay for a couple more hours and not charging us am arm and a leg for those two hours of grace.nnAll in all, comfortable, welcoming and friendly place. Would choose Bunderberg International Motel again for sure! And thank you for having us at very short notice and late check in too.
I wanted to leave this review mainly for the steak I had on the last night. It was excellent. Perfectly cooked, reasonably priced and a little different to what I'd usually have - with bacon, hollandaise and avocado. I got veg on the side and these were crisp. I ordered it as room service and it arrived quickly and fresh.nnRooms are comfortable and clean. Service was prompt and friendly. Great parking. Close to the shops. Location not the best when coming from the north in peak hour but not terrible, given it's Bundaberg.
This was my first time travelling for work to Bundy. I was in room 1 and it was very good. Massive room with what looked to be about a 60 inch tv. The hosts were very nice and were absolutely right about their meals, they were spot on. Would absolutely stay here again without hesitation.
Our room was massive, if a little dated. It would be ideal for someone staying for a few days, being fully self-contained. They also have a clever way to do the included Continental breakfast. The highlight wasn't that we had room to park our car and oversized box trailer, but the exceptional restaurant service and the amazing food. I have a photo of our mains, which neither of us could finish. However, I didn't get to snap one of the gingerbeer battered prawns entree because the husband started on them the minute they arrived, which was super quick. We highly recommend them. And the dairy free crispy pork belly was scrumptious. The perfect amount of chilli in the sauce that you could taste without being too hot. Hubby had the steak, and the only thing he would have changed is that, next time, he would ask that the Bundaberg Red Rum Hickory BBQ sauce he chose was heated. Which would have made it even better. Though still 10 out of 10 for our meals. Compliments to the chef. All the staff were efficient and friendly. We will definitely stay here again and either get room service or dine-in at Capers next time we visit Bundaberg.
