Sharon was very professional and friendly.nThe room was just what I needed on a long journey. Fantastic pressure in the huge shower and the bed was super comfy. It is a bit noisy being on the main road but I was so tired, I didn’t care. It’s walking distance to the hospital and lots of restaurants and takeaway food. Great value.
Had a bad experience with the lady I spoke to on the phone. We were on holiday and stopping in there on the way home, I got the dates mixed up. I understand that if you don’t cancel within 24hrs you have to pay but that really wasn’t the case. Then when we actually checked in a day later we were charged again this time for a more expensive room which is understandable because I had made a mistake however none of this was explained to me on the phone nor do they tell you that a $200 hold charge will be charged to your card upon arrival incase of damages. The rooms are lovely but I believe the customer service could have been dealt with a little better.
On the 17 April 2026, we were in Bundaberg to be with my sister who was in hospital and gravely ill. As we needed close accommodation, we rang Sharon at the Oscar Motel and she gave us wonderful customer service and caring support. We booked 2 rooms but sadly as we were doing that, we got an emergency call while there, to advise us to come back immediately, as my sister was losing the battle. We spent time with my sister who sadly but peacefully passed away. After a family discussion, we really felt the pull to go to our own home in Coolum Beach. When phoning Sharon to cancel our booking, that had only just been made, Sharon got the approval for us to cancel our booking of the 2 rooms. They did this with such empathy and we were ever so grateful. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the Oscar Motel in Bundaberg and hope fellow travellers will support their accommodation business when staying in Bundaberg. Our caravan needed repairs,so booked into Oscar Motel for 2 nights. Found our room to be clean n comfortable. Staff just so helpful and friendly. My granddaughter loved the pool. Easy walk to food shops n shopping centre.nWould most definitely stay here againnThank you
Clean and well kept older rooms. Cheap as advertised and did the trick.nNo complaints at all.
