Honest, family friendly and clean. The decor was dated and the facilities not the flashiest. TV remote didn't work, and asking the cleaning staff for an extra toilet roll apparently caused great inconvenience. Young lady in the office was very friendly and helpful though. The location was great, the rooms a good size, and for the price you couldn't argue

The managing couple are absolutely beautiful and welcome people to book with. They are extremely accomadating. The rooms are ample and the location is fantastic. We are here for the hospital and for the turtles. Making it a great central location close to town and wonderful historical views only walking distance.

Stayed here for 1 night and don't think we will be staying here again.....the fridge didn't work, we also found a pubic hair in the replacement fridge after contacting reception. We had no phone in the cupboard to contact reception. Microwave was not clean and had burn marks through it. There was also handprints and coffee marks on the walls and ceiling. Mould throughout the room and shower(excellent 60's decor in the shower though) My friend who was staying in our room woke up to itching and what looked like bed bug bites. Second room had no fan or air con, which made it feel like a sauna. We had to empty the pool skimmer box. The roof awning had a huge leak as the guttering was clogged up, which prevented us from sitting outside comfortably and dry. We were tempted to ask for a partial refund but the receptionist was quite dismissive after the conversation about the fridge.

Truly outdated ...however it was clean and tidy. Over priced for what you get.

Owners could not have been more friendly and accommodating. Location excellent for train and FOOD. Would definitely recommend this place to stay.
