I had the brunny crumbed steak with mash and vegetables, the steak was done really well, not dry as some can get... probably the best crumbed steak I've had in a long time.nnGreat service with a friendly smile.
This has been my first negative review I’ve been bothered to write, and I’m saddened that it’s against the Brunswick. Been coming here for years and unfortunately the quality of food has been reducing while the prices have been increasing. Years ago the crumbed steak was $15, and now I have returned to see it is $30, along with a basic parmi. Unfortunately, there wasn’t even a chefs special menu - literally, it said ‘~nothing~’ on the board.nnEdit: Unfortunately, was just reminded by my partner that they don’t even bring the overpriced food to the table, and instead give you a buzzer to come get your food instead.nnDisappointing to say the least, I used to enjoy coming here, but, I cannot justify coming here over any of the other pubs found on every corner in Rockhampton. .
Called in for two chicken schnitzels for lunch. The menu was confusing particularly when it came to the selection of sides and what was included vs what needed to be paid for our server agreed.nSadly the crumb coating on both schnitzels was overcooked and the accompanying vegetables were cold. Please kitchen staff … it would take so little to improve this.
Well its been almost a year again since I last visited and wow what's going on needed a steak knife to eat the crumbed fish . Pricess have gone up and food quality well what can I say garlic bread burnt again I stayed clear of the crumbed steak thought I'd go for good old crumbed fish and chips , can't go wrong sadly no the thin layer of fish and covered I don't know what some type of leather couldn't see any crumbs .nThe kids had sizzle steak which bounced around the table like rubber again .nSo I give the meals 0 stars for price and taste. This will be my last review on this pub I'm not going back .nCheers
Had the delicious Tuesday night special for half a rack of ribs with 8 wings and chips for $35.nnThe ribs were extremely well cooked , fork tender with delicious bbq sauce . The wings were close behind being perfectly friend and covered in a delicious sauce . I had the accompanying garlic sauce and it made the meal magical.nnWill definitely stop by the next time I’m passing by
